The majority of all sales jobs, especially telemarketing, get employees to memorise a script. Some places even punish you for going off script even if it makes sense. You might dig telemarketing if this appeals to you, some good friends made over 100k a year when including commissions and got offered a lot of opportunities for better paying jobs in the same industry. You just gotta be fairly ruthless and willing to hit people with the upsell and be ok with selling to people who clearly misunderstand what's going on, including old people. Most of the time they were giving people a better deal than they already had though. This was telemarketing phones, prepaid plans and internet packages etc.
Right after this scene not a single stock was sold because all the callers were just yelling incoherently XD

What a great actor Decaprio is. This was a great scene.
One of my favorite movies with Rob Reiner doing one of his best performances.
Bro poured his absolute soul into this scene alone and still don’t win the Oscar
He is one of the best actors of all times!
