Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God! We need more godly men preaching His word from the pulpits, unashamedly and unapologetically.

At 45 you started to believe in this nonsense? Oh come on, I get it when people have been brainwashed from a young age but at 45 you really should know better.

@@jamesprays7533 I think it's important and the moral thing to do, to stand up to religious oppression. I think it's important to open yourself up to beliefs that you do not share. Part of my problem with Christianity cults is the echo chamber environment they exist in. My mind is very much open, it's yours that isn't. Having an open mind is about being willing to follow the evidence and basing your conclusion on that evidence. By believing in a cult which is in direct conflict with reality you are not doing this. Your testimony is entirely irrelevant. I have studied theology and philosophy for many years. You are not the first cult member to claim to be able to show me some sort of power. It's always nonsense. Education over indoctrination.

Thanks be to God for Preacher, Steven Lawson! This session is classic Steven Lawson at his passionate best. This started out as a wonderful “Q&A session” on The Importance of The Word of God, then proceeded to a great “teaching” on the same subject (especially the preaching of God’s word) and then moved into a powerful “sermon” on The Importance of The Preaching of The Word of God for The Church. If you are just getting to know Dr. Lawson, he was a student, colleague, dear friend and brother in Christ of Dr. R.C. Sproul. As R.C. was so apt at doing, R.C. recognized Lawson’s gift and it was a 2014 radio broadcast of a Ligonier conference session that I was first richly blessed to hear Steven Lawson preach. Since then, I have richly benefitted from Lawson’s preaching, teaching and writing ministries. The experienced and humble interviewer of this 2022 Q&A session, Lee Webb, was so very gracious and wise to give Steven Lawson his head in this interview. Thank you, God, for providing this spontaneous, edifying and encouraging message.
