In this session, Dr. Steven J. Lawson traces the daring mission of William Tyndale, who was used by God to ignite the English Reformation, which ultimately cost Tyndale his life.

Yes, William Tyndale was the first Reformed theologian. We’re indeed blessed through his sacrificial works.

Thank you so much for your informative lecture Pastor Lawson.William Tyndale has long been one of my favorite reformers. To me, the reformers and the martyrs will always be the greatest heroes of the faith. Many people only refer to Tyndale as a Bible translator, but he most certainly was also a reformer.

On Sunday evening July 17, 2022 at Grace Community Church, Steve Lawson practically repeated this same message. This is an important part of Christian History of the Protestant Reformation. It is obvious that William Tyndale was a very bold and courageous man for translating the Bible into English.

Just ordered the Reformation Study Bible and was pleasantly surprised to see it came with free downloads for Dr Lawsons book on Tyndale and Calvin. Both were already on my reading list.

Tyndale is being slowly erased from history within the church. In my 40+ year old RSV Bible in the foreword it mentioned Tyndale's work and death. Tyndale is no longer mentioned in subsequent versions of the Bible such as NIV.

Fantastic overview by Dr. Lawson of the world changing significant work of William Tyndale. The book is a short read because once you start, you will not want to put it down. A foundational book of knowledge about the English language Bible we enjoy. I give the Book my highest recommendation.

This makes no sense to me. Steve Lawson uses a modern Roman Catholic Protestant bible while praising Tyndale! The ,'holder's manuscript used to trash the KJB is an Alexandrian called the Vaticanus from the Vatican basement. The other Alexandrian bible is from a monestary! . Tares Among the Wheat Sequal video KZread. Their Jesus lies!!! In John 7:18 the deposed KJB Jesus says, I am not going up yet to the feast. (No, not now, not yet. He waits and goes. Their bible says I am not going to the festival. (No, not me, count me out). He waits and goes.!!! Liar! BLASPHEMY!! God said He preserves Hus word, Psalm12:6,7. Does yours? He warned against changing His word. Deuteronomy 4:2 or 3. 12:32, Proverbs 30:6 and Revelation 22:18. It is the most changed book! Book: Look What's Missing by David Daniels chick Publication. There are hundreds of changes. 1 John 5:7 There are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost. Does yours say that? This is in agreement with John's gospel. The Forbidden Book video KZread. Church history: Lamp in the Dark video KZread. Can you even imagine the wrath that God will have for those who honor such bibles??? And also call Him Lord, Lord..... Why they really made the NKJV. NKJV counterfeit NKJV a deadly translation. NKJV a fraud. Many need to ask Jesus to send the Holy Ghost to them (Luke 11:13). He will convince you of sin. As he gently brings to mind your sins, ask Jesus to forgive you. When you come to see the vileness of your sins and how truly precious His gift is, cry out to Him to save you. How did Paul call upon the name of the Lord? Acts 22:15-16. Peter also Acts 2:38.

@@judyswiderski2682 first of all, I think you are so angry, it's not making a whole lot of sense. So please help me out. Help me understand what you are getting at. Kjb or KJV? That's a good place to start. Be very careful in Whom you are saying is lying, too. Next, is it Lawson you have a problem with? If so, why? As far as translations go, if you think other translations have left things out that the KJV has. You are absolutely correct! Because, they don't belong there. There are a few added texts, that the KJV translators put in themselves, uninspired. It isn't so far off as to seriously change the context but still a mistake. Are you comfortable with God's Word being added to? In short, almost all translations go back to Hebrew and Greek for the basis of each translation. It's not watered down. Also, it is foolishness to think that 1611 or any other year before or after is the "perfect time frame" for what God really wanted to say. That is of course, other than orginal manuscripts.
