That decision to take Gerrard off was the ending of the golden generation. With Scholes retiring from international football and Owen being on decline England never had the quality afterwards.

Unlucky how we never won anything with players like Gerrard, Scholes, Lampard, Beckham and Owen up front in the team. Probably because Sven did substitutions with him off for Owen Hargreaves.

always the bullshit about him being crap for england he had really good performances and was never truly bad just cause he didnt score 30 yarders and run games like he did for the lfc doesnt mean he was anyway bad
