I wonder if this is why most astrologers don’t offer written readings- because it’s not a two way exchange? It’s lovely to learn from these two. As an astrologer in training who is learning about integrity this has been a really useful video to watch.

I'm an astrologer and agree, we can't as astrologers state or analyse what the person's personalty is or "define their nature" from their chart, it is a fluid time line and one that can change in many ways over time, sometimes in an instant. Being in service when consulting is key.

This is a super interesting interview, thank you for bringing it to my attention. I do not perceive myself as an Astrologer just yet, but I am fascinated by it. When I first began learning it I didn't think much of it and I was almost annoyed by it, only after reading a book written by Jeffrey Wolf Green I began to look at Astrology from a different perspective and that perspective is the reason that I am so fascinated with this Science today...I completely agree with both Steven Forrest and Mark Jones on pretty much everything I have heard so far. Although I don't see myself as an expert just yet, the first things that I look in a chart are Pluto first and the two True Lunar Nodes next, for some reason these are the features that intrigue me the most regardless what goes on in the rest of the chart. I too see the chart as an opportunity to learn and evolve and not something to identify into since the probably the purpose of it is to show us where we are at the time of birth and where we can and should move towards according to our soul's. These two guys have two interesting Auric fields, both quite sharp and listening to them it is like listening to some classical music while these two authors are chiming together. Wonderful interview!

I love the sparks and light generated by these two luminious minds. I do need to point out that 'belief' is a religious term, and must never enter into the bolts of light in this the highest art. No one believes or disbelieves in water or the alphabet or numbers. The latter two are organizing principles. It is very difficult to stay on track in this gifted conversation when 'belief' and 'tools' are used in close proximity. We can do better gentlemen. Margaret Mead said when asked long ago whether she believed in U.F.O.s. She called it “a silly question,” writing in Redbook in 1974: “Belief has to do with matters of faith; it has nothing to do with the kind of knowledge that is based on scientific inquiry. … Do people believe in the sun or the moon, or the changing seasons, or the chairs they’re sitting on? When we want to understand something strange, something previously unknown to anyone, we have to begin with an entirely different set of questions. What is it? How does it work?”

Fate is like a train rolling in a direction. Free Will is like the person on that train. Did they pick the train? Did they get on it by chance. Could they choice to get off, now that it's rolling. They either bought the ticket or someone handed it to them but they got on. They might jump off now, but it likely would hurt. They might find themselves somewhere they didn't plan. Then they would have to buy another ticket, or jump another train to some where else. They can wait till the train stops at a station and get off. But a train still had to bring them there. To get to anywhere else that's far, another train will have to take them there too.

I agree about fate and an inference of no free will or options. Any astrologer who gives the message that things are written in stone and we just have to deal with it, is not competent. People we have arranged to meet up with in this incarnation, yes but how we deal with them is up to us.

The quantum entanglement theory combined with the effect of the planet on each astronomical object in the universe makes sense. That’s the groundwork, so why does Astrology trigger them? Is it the Psychology of understanding yourself through a tool that makes those afraid of self-awareness cower behind science, and disregard the highest values of the study. Self-observation of Empirical data.

Wow!! pretty interesting to see how similar the planets placements were in Charles Chaplin and Adolf Hitler's charts. However, the differences are also uncanny. Adolf Hitler had Uranus in the Ascendant and Charles Chaplin had the Moon in the Ascendant so that to me explains a lot. Also, Hitler had Pluto conj Neptune in the 8th House while this same conj fell in Chaplins' much friendlier 7th House. So no, these charts are fundamentally very different.

@@jfreeman3978 choices are razor thin.. that is the nature of decision. but i agree, nature and nurture can figure heavily, snf breaking out of that is not always easy. keeping a sense of hunour seems the key to sanity and kindness.. hitler lost all of that... but chaplin chose it, and grew it. choices. each little razor's edge of choice, builds our destiny and legacy. kindness and hunour are powerful partners.
