I'm Australian, and I met Steven Adams in NZ by chance. Bought him and his friends a round of drinks because I admired his game. He's one of the nicest guys. If you've ever watched Kiwi Rugby... you know how hard and strong guys like Steven Adams are.

You know what surprises me about Steven? He's like. CLEARLY. The kind of player you want in your Starting 5. He's not the best, he's not your number one or two option on offence, but relative to his contract, he's a force. He's about as good of a player as you can get at that price point, and he does a lot of things well. Why do contenders never seek him out come deadline day? He gets stuck in OKC and NOL and I guess Memphis had... a shot, but you'd think there would be interest. You can't tell me dogs like Jimmy Butler or LeBron aren't dropping his name into conversations when they're looking for playoff depth.

@@abhijaman4792 Lisa Adams is the Paralympic medalist (She is diagnosed with a form of cerebral palsy) But Valerie Adams is the 2 time gold medalist (2008 + 2012) in shot put and has also won a silver (2016) and a bronze (2020) In fact I would probably say that in general Valerie is more known in NZ than Steven or at least considered more of a Kiwi Legend. Mostly because Valerie was named a Dame Companion (equivalent of a Knight) and competed for NZ on the olympic and commonwealth stage where as Steven hasn't ever played for the national basketball team.

I always hated turning down autographs for kids but if a kid said please I'd always stop no matter what. Adults on the other hand won't say please even when prompted.
