Had one many years ago it came from Aldane that's were we got lots of cb radios antennas mics and boots in a load for a container, and the beef wagons you had to meet at a certain spot pay the man and brand new I got mine and now wished I had kept it un known to lots there were the best radio ever sitting up a good hill nice set of boots a wagon battery and a big base antenna and getting way down past Sunderland way down past the pennine way and down the canal boats great days.

Ah poor old delboy. Such a tool, I can't understand how he has 200k subs. He hasn't a clue what he's at what so ever. Love matt tho.

nice looking radio. There's also a Cobra 148FGTL DX+. It's a DX version of the Cobra 148FGTL. It has 12 bands.

Yes, I have one here. Not a cobra at all really. Its all ranger inside and just has cobra on the bezel. They have unicorn status, but they're nothing special.

Mine cobra 148 gtl dx a great ssb radios mine kept lower power and 5w into a good kicker and run of a big leisure battery the kicker gets warm so a nice big fan so it's not get to hot as they can put out harmonics and the fan it does blow as heat goes up so run the fan the same sucking air it stays warm but not hot the radio stays cool and happy many I night in the hills were there was a wooden post about 7feet and talked every were now you hear very little now

Man that rig is in nice condition. Another awesome video sir.

What can I use to get all the gunk or dirt off the face of my 148

I'd remove the facia from the radio and wash it it some warm water with dishsoap/washing up liquid and an old toothbrush. Nothing special needed really. But to do it right, it has to come off the radio.
