I don't think blockchain would remove the need for auditing. It would enable immutable contracts yet, but auditing the company's figures would still be required to make sure the contracts are being honored accurately.

Sony buying a company "Artists without a label" is the same that Banks having their own cryptocurrency

Ppl want the accolades ppl want the awards and the acceptance you get from being in the major label system. I doubt that will ever change. Plus, expecting everyone to be on point with their business is unrealistic. Of course now that we’re having these convos more artists will be self sufficient. Major labels just need to give better contracts. Contracts are horrible.

Make sure ur collecting all ur royalties through your distribution company and then make sure ur collecting everything else . ( ASCAP/BMI , Songtrust , Soundexchange )

We can't judge all artists the same, if you have kid's. Each one is different. But just like Actors,Writers on the TV & film side simultaneously Artist & Musicians on the Music side. The way the Gate keepers slice up the pizza pie should be more fair.
