I don't know if it was intentional but the person that made this highlight perfectly illustrated just how good of an every down back Steve actually was. Dude was unbelievable!

I was lucky enough to be there for all of his and pat white's years...amazing. Slaton has to be one of the least talked about dudes in college football history. Ashame arian foster basically ended his pro career.

Crazy that Rich Rod had Bednarik starting over Pat.

White was a gamer. Looked pedestrian in practice. Bednarik had size and a big arm and the pedigree. No coach would've seen what White was based on some practice performances.

He was so fun to watch; like a mix of Maurice Jones-Drew and CJ Spiller. I thought he’d be a baller in the league too after his rookie season.; it’s such a shame injuries derailed him. Still, he’ll always be one of the most exciting college RBs ever.

Honestly, his style was more in line with a Reggie Bush, just without the NFL body.

@@josiah3236He was the same weight as Bush and just as fast, it was his fumbling and injury problems that kept him from being great.

Great vid. I’ve watched this several times. Check out who the lead blocker is to spring Steve on runs. Owen Schmidt

If only he was able to hold onto the damn football in the NFL. He would have been special

He did go over 1k yards his rookie year. I think it was more the emergence of Arian Foster during his hand injury more so than the fumbles.

@@TonyMatthewsII nah 10 fumbles in two years, especially 7 in 11 games is nuts. Unless you’re Adrian Peterson you’re going to be in the doghouse for that lack of ball security

He should've won the Walker in 2006, he was better than McFadden that year.
