Great video! I love N Gauge as a main line but find it does slip on hooklengths. John Arthur did a video recent where he said he adds extra whips on the hook (12-15) and that seems to work. Would you advise that Steve?

Every hook I use is guru now. They’re are just different! I’m a huge fan of those 12 xs spades. I swear they stay forever sharp! I got one on a big fish edge rig I use and it took a massive beating for 7 months and is still going strong. I’m just remaking the rig but keeping that hook because I actually want too see how long it lasts before i have to change it. It’s kind of a personal challenge of mine😂, I will be back to let you guys know how long it lasted😊

@@rikkiegglesden5295 🤣🤣🤣. It all started last year when I fished a snaggy peg I got snagged so many times and just kept checking the hook and it never went blunt. I always hook a maggot just to check it. When I'm done with it I'm going to set it in resin and make a charm out of it and put it on my hold all or something 😁

  • @TackleguruTV

On certain pegs it would work yes, however what I would say is that you have to be savvy to what baits have/are working on that particular venue. I know pellets work very well at Barston so its definitely worth a try
