Been dealing with opiates/ cocaine addiction was a yr sober & these past 6 months I go on a 3-4 day run waste $500 get sober for 2 weeks & than repeat. This podcast got My ass up & got me to hit a NA meeting today. Thanks SteveO

Hey brother I’m basically in this exact situation mostly just opiates had almost a year clean and recently i just fuck it up every couple weeks stay strong really proud of you brother just starting the podcast hopefully I leave having learnt something new

I’ve been sober for 4 years on February 6th and have never been happier. Steve is definitely someone I have admired since getting clean.
This podcast couldn’t come at a more better time. I’ve been struggling with alcohol for awhile now. Went clean for 32-33 days, but relapsed last week. Time to get off again.

It blows me away how, not all but a lot of ex drug addicts are so smart in the different perceptions they see life. It’s actually really cool, because most seem to appreciate life alot more than someone that didn’t go through such struggles. Steve-O is awesome

Because doing drugs which a lot of people wouldnt expect make you smarter if you use them recreationally. Obviously excluding hard drugs like heroin and crack lol. They make you think outside of the box and the norm and much more retrospective

I was in high school when The Rise and Demise of Steve-O was airing. That was some powerful stuff because coincidentally enough that’s when some of the people I was hanging around with started experimenting with harder drugs. That documentary always kept me from starting any of that stuff. Thanks Steve-O

Cool interview! He’s a big inspo as far as recovery. I’m suprised he never tried DMT or ayahausca?! Around his era it wasn’t as popular as it is now. He’s never mentioned it in an interview until now. I’m sure he’s done hallucinogenics tho. Not saying everyone should do it but it will open up the 3rd eye more and see the framework of reality. That’s why it’s the God particle. Bradley inspired me to look into it more after hearing his trip on it.

As a Spiritual person myself, i will say Steve-O was 100% right. Being able to acknowledge your role in any situation even if you were the victim. You still have to admit to yourself how you found yourself in that position.

I agree 10000% with Steve-O on the fact that if someone takes accountability for their actions, and is able to say "I was wrong", they earn respect. I had an ex who in our entire 2 year relationship could not admit he was wrong, not even once. I was unable to trust or respect him for so long because of it. I am now in a healthy relationship with someone else, HOWEVER, I have thought to myself after my ex and I broke up, that our relationship probably would of lasted much longer if he was able to take accountability.
I give Steve shit from time to time but his dedication to sobriety truly inspires me to live a sober life and the happiness that it could bring me
