About Pauly Shore:
Pauly Shore tasted super-stardom in 1990 when his MTV show “Totally Pauly” hit the airwaves to major fan approval. The show ran for six years, leading Pauly to a one-hour HBO comedy special, “Pauly Does Dallas” and starring roles in films like “Jury Duty,” “In the Army Now,” “Bio-Dome,” “Encino Man,” “Son In Law,” and “A Goofy Movie.”
Pauly went on to produce and star in several of his own projects, including “Pauly Shore is Dead” (amzn.to/2JOF1iv), as well as the comedy specials “Vegas is My Oyster,” starring Andy Dick, Tom Green, Bobby Lee, and “Pauly-Tics” (amzn.to/2sOIwvR), starring Herman Cain and Larry King.
In 2014, he released “Pauly Shore Stands Alone” (amzn.to/2t4z8Ub), a true-life road documentary that follows Pauly as he performs in obscure towns throughout Wisconsin while dealing with his personal life. It appeared on Showtime and is available on Amazon Prime. Other recent projects include Adam Sandler's "Sandy Wexler," the short film "Sin City Psycho," and the movie "Guest House" (coming soon).
Pauly released a series of video interviews in 2017 called the “Pauly Shore Podcast Show.” His guests included Judd Apatow, Iliza Shlesinger, Ziggy Marley, Brett Ratner, Daymond John, Harland Williams, Fred Durst, David Faustino, Doug Herzog, Dexter Holland, Bob Saget and more (bit.ly/podshowPaulyShore).
Currently, Pauly has a weekly, Big Brother-style video podcast called “Pauly Shore’s Random Rants” which you can find on Soundcloud, iTunes, Stitcher and KZread (bit.ly/rantsPaulyShore)
Apart from actively touring the country with his stand-up comedy (bit.ly/PaulyTour), Pauly is working on a documentary of his life that spans the 1960s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.

The thing that always stuck out to me about Pauly is that he never played a "character." Its why his career went off so quick and why it died out so quick. He never changed who he was. Everything he did he was going to do anyway, someone just had the good sense to stick a camera in front of him

Bill is a crack up 🤣 & Pauly still has that quirky acid drop type humour. Having Steve O on was just a trifecta
All they need to change is the whole "standing up" thing because it makes the conversation feel like some awkward exchange at a party AND pauly needs to hold off giving instructions every 2 seconds because it breaks the momentum of the whole podcast

Hes uncomfortable because Shore is clearly hung up on who he used to be and his past success and all these years later not over it. Being there makes Steve-o look kind of looks amateurish / tied to that. Like when the beatles wouldnt do that reunion show because the opening act was a shark. Shire is all over the place and just hung up on the past and just out there. Like in the kitchen didnt even know about Bam and wasnt listening.

Yeah, great guest. No question. But Pauly is deff a control freak here. Constantly interrupting Steve-O , directing him where to go/what to do/where to look. . that's why Steve-O looked awkward/bugged several times in the entire episode. You look at Steve-O in his own podcast channel, total chill . Pauly didn't even cover in if he's gonna move out of LA or whatever . Steve-O briefly hinted in the beginning. But didn't cover it later.

Pauly doesn't understand who the bigger name is here, he's just so unaware to himself and acts like he's still a 90's superstar. He seems like a guy who hangs out with a bunch of kiss asses, constantly butting in and derailing conversation - and it's not to get a joke out or get a laugh, just to assert dominance, I guess?

Directing the podcast is part of his shtick, but he typically encourages guests to express whatever is on their mind, hence the name of the podcast "random rants". I think Paulie felt awkward because it was obvious Steve O felt awkward and uncomfortable. Steve O had never watched the podcast so I don't think he realized that some of Paulie's antics were for comedy like acting impatient with Bill. Also IMHO some of the silliness is lost without Esther's dancing and laughter in the background along with their "I am Chinese" banter.
