PAULY SHORE IS DEAD - 20TH ANNIVERSARY
I can't believe it's been 20 years. Pauly Shore is Dead was the first part of the second part of my career. Vince Vaughn told me, "The first one's the hardest one," and he was absolutely right. Took me about 5 years to put this together. I wrote it with my friend Kirk Fox, directed it, produced it, and financed it.
The movie Pauly Shore is Dead appeals to the audience that likes my stuff and also appeals to the audience that doesn't like my stuff. We got into some festivals and did really well with this film.
I definitely wanna thank everyone that helped me make this movie -- Dean Gelber, Bobby Luddington, Miles Barken, Gregory Cohen, Jeremy Dallow, Jim DiLorenzo, Jonathan Ross Gilbert, Don Jamieson, Brian Pratt, Marie-Flore Beaubien, and especially Sean Penn -- if you never agreed to do the movie, no one else would have. Thanks for believing in me, dude. Miss you and love you.
Enjoy Pauly Shore is Dead, you guys. It's a crazy ride. More familiar faces than any film that was ever made in history. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
Thanks, Pauly

About Pauly Shore:
Pauly Shore tasted super-stardom in 1990 when his MTV show “Totally Pauly” hit the airwaves to major fan approval. The show ran for six years, leading Pauly to a one-hour HBO comedy special, “Pauly Does Dallas” and starring roles in films like “Jury Duty,” “In the Army Now,” “Bio-Dome,” “Encino Man,” “Son In Law,” and “A Goofy Movie.”
Pauly went on to produce and star in several of his own projects, including “Pauly Shore is Dead” (amzn.to/2JOF1iv), as well as the comedy specials “Vegas is My Oyster,” starring Andy Dick, Tom Green, Bobby Lee, and “Pauly-Tics” (amzn.to/2sOIwvR), starring Herman Cain and Larry King.
In 2014, he released “Pauly Shore Stands Alone” (amzn.to/2t4z8Ub), a true-life road documentary that follows Pauly as he performs in obscure towns throughout Wisconsin while dealing with his personal life. It appeared on Showtime and is available on Amazon Prime. Other recent projects include Adam Sandler's "Sandy Wexler," the short film "Sin City Psycho," and the movie "Guest House" (on Netflix).
Pauly released a series of video interviews in 2017 called the “Pauly Shore Podcast Show.” His guests included Judd Apatow, Iliza Shlesinger, Ziggy Marley, Brett Ratner, Daymond John, Harland Williams, Fred Durst, David Faustino, Doug Herzog, Dexter Holland, Bob Saget and more (bit.ly/podshowPaulyShore).
Currently, Pauly has a video podcast called “Pauly Shore’s Random Rants” which you can find on Soundcloud, iTunes, Stitcher and KZread (bit.ly/rantsPaulyShore).
Apart from actively touring the country with his stand-up comedy (bit.ly/PaulyTour), Pauly is working on a documentary of his life that spans the 1960s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.

He is Pauly fkn Shore! Used to be the BIGGEST Comedy star in the world! And not to mention his mom and dad were SUPER famous too. This had to be so therapeutic for him too, to make. He was TOO good!
This is early 2000’s gold I never knew existed!
I didn't know this movie existed. It is great seeing it on KZread. The cameo count is impressive.
Man.. I remember being so excited for this movie when It first came out! I bought it on DVD and watched it in my first apartment.

Thanks for posting this Pauly, it's almost impossible to find on streaming..I was working at a video store when this came out and I put it on the "staff picks" wall as soon as it arrived 😀
20 years ago meeting Pauly at the release for Pauly Shore is Dead was one of the greatest moments of my life. He's even more charming in person.

Glad you had a better encounter with him than I did in the late 90's.
I saw this when it came out and remember being irritated when some people would say, "Oh that guy from MTV in the 90's made a movie?" Pauly Shore is a LEGEND.
No frickin way! I've been wanting to watch this movie again for a long time. Thanks Paulie!
If this movie had gotten a studio and budget behind it I think it would have been a big hit. A meta comedy about Pauly Shore. As it is, it's an amazing film.

tbh im kinda glad it didnt. I like that it was made over 5 years too, seeing how everyone changed in that time is interesting. Like Durst going from a nobody to rock star.
Screw all the Pauly Shore movies, this mockumentary comedy is his crowning achievement right here. It's been 19 yrs since I've seen this, and it's still funny AF!
😂It's clear that you poured your heart and soul into this project, and it paid off in spades. You reminded us all why we fell in love with your comedy in the first place, and why you remain such a beloved figure in the entertainment industry! So thank you, Pauly, for creating something truly special with "Pauly Shore is Dead"! It's a testament to your talent and your unwavering dedication to your craft. I can't wait to see what you do next.🎉
I haven’t watched a movie by myself in many years. Thank you for posting this!
The cameos on this are unbelievable
Pauly Shore can never die. NEVER!
Thanks for uploading this Pauly, it's been a minute since I've seen this gem. Much love brother 💙❤️
I love how everyone else is doing a cameo but Howard is playing an accountant.
I ended up watching this movie today, because Pauly posted the link on Facebook. That was well good fun! 🎭
Man I LOVE THIS MOVIE! Thank you for posting it for all to see!
A better actor than people gave him credit for.✌️
Totally under rated. This movie is hilarious. After my first watch years ago...I went and got the DVD
What a thing to show up in my recommendations. I still have my copy of this on DVD.
Just what I needed tonight brother. Thanks for the years of Laughs. Long live Pauly Shore!!!
this is by far top tier and really showcased the hilarity Pauly brought, sure people threw the whole “he’s not fucking funny” or “his humor sucks because he’s annoying”, they don’t know good humor one bit, you made my childhood rock and fuckin’ roll, hell you got me through some tough times no doubt, even got me to get back into film; I managed a few short films and while it’s on pause for awhile I’m not planning to stop one bit. and fyi, Jury Duty had me fuckin’ rolling🤘🏻💯🔥 much love Pauly!

When Pauly Shore is Dead came out i remember the buzz around it. Some people actually thought he was gone. Others realized Pauly just changed the game. ❤
i'm sorry for this back-handled compliment but i truly mean it to spread true positivity... but this was way better than i was expecting. i thought i'd take a look, scan thru the video for what looked like it might be interesting, and click onto the next thing quickly but i ended up watching the whole thing and enjoying it. good job dude. surprised i never saw this or heard of it before.
Thank you for posting this to KZread! Especially in it's most raw edit. Much love Pauly
It's crazy it's been 20 years since this came out
Thank you for uploading this, Pauly. I got to see it once back when it came out and haven't seen it anywhere since then. This movie is highly underrated. I see that KZread is charging to see this movie. I hope they give you your cut. I wouldn't hold my breath though.

You were my hero man. I dressed and talked like you in my teens. I could watch all your movies over and over. I did improv for a long time and you were a huge inspiration.
What a beautiful and hilarious movie. I'm glad you're not really dead, Pauly. We need more awesome and original shit like this. Long live the weasel.

peak early 2000s. almost eerie. Pauly you're an artist. Hope to see you come roaring back soon.
Classic! I love Pauly, this dudes so underrated. Thanks for posting this!
I love all the classics from the 90’s, but this will always be my favourite Pauly Shore movie.
I seriously can't believe i haven't watched this till now. Even more i can't believe it's 20 years old! That makes me feel really old. I thought this just came out not too long ago lol
bro had alot more then '15 minutes of fame' . I'm sure so many still watch your iconic films to this day like I do, hundreds of hours my dude i spent with your films. you have a moment in time and you'll be remembered forever. bless you my dude ❤🙌👊 #EncinoMan2
Thanks for adding this for free Pauly.
I was just thinking about this movie the other day and now I see you posted it! Thanks :) You are a great comedian and actor and Hollywood just didn't deserve you!
I was unable to find this movie here in Scotland back in the day. Thanks for uploading, P.
One afternoon in 2003 i drove to the comedy store and just walked in. Pauly walked out of his office and we talked. He had a cold that day. Gave me comedic advice. Nice guy!
A cup of coffee and your movie on a Saturday morning, made my day! Thanks for posting this great movie. If you’re ever in Portland, hit me up and I’ll treat you to a great meal. You’re still a legend.
Here before millions , thanks for putting this up I'm laughing my asz off we love you bro
I was 1 month and 2 days old when Sam Kinison died, and he has always, my entire life, been in my Mount Rushmore of comedians. I couldn’t imagine being babysat by that man 😂😂
I watched it 20 years ago and tonight I will be watching it again. ty dude
The cameos on this are absolutely incredible. I loved this the first time and it still rules. “I want my weasel and I want it NOW.” Crazy bastard, Pauly. Thanks for uploading this.
I have a signed copy of this DVD when I went to see you at zanies in vernon hills ill. You are the man pauly
My brother said you treated him like an old friend when he just wanted to "hi." In FL back in the 90s. He said you care about people.
This really is a good movie. Pauly Shore is underrated imo. Takes me back to simpler, better times.
It’s so funny to me that this movie legit makes me tear up a little. His moment in the kitchen wheezing with the dude who just tried to kill him ❤❤
Amazes me how many people in this movie, except Pauly, are dead 20 years later
DUDE thank you, after hearing you talk about this movie, I haven't been able to find it. Remember dodgeball? Pauly shore is dead was a trailer in that movie, I remember watching pauly say, " pauly shore is dead now coming to, DVD, DVD!! " as he's getting pelted with dogeballs lol, such a funny weird awesome guy 🎉
Thanks for making this "Free" Big Homie!
Dude, thanks for this upload. I remember seeing the promo for this on the movie Dodgeball. Love everything you do.
Much Respect Pauly! I grew up watching your movies
Never saw this but honestly it's an amazing movie. Had me laughing a lot and tear up a couple of times. Thanks paulie shore for all the laughs since I was young till even now . Keep up the great work. Have a blessed day and praise the lord and creator
I was literally just thinking about how I needed to find a way to watch this movie.
Hurly furk. Like seven dozen cameos, yo! So glad youtube pointed out this gem to me! You, Sir, are a legend who has shaped who I am today. My children and I quote your movie lines in certain situations to make life more interesting. I have made sure my children are familiar with your movies (the most appropriate ones for chirren) as well as your type of creative genius. If you need a reason to smile, just know you are held in high regard and my family's quality of life is elevated because of who you are and the work you've done. You are appreciated.
I have always loved this movie. Such a classic. I still laugh like it’s the first time seeing it.
❤ It! What a fun movie! Great job as always Pauly
I performed for his mom with my partner Bill. She told me she liked me and I had a natural 'instinct' for comedy, but I don't belong on a stage.' That made me laugh. She was right! Pauly I never met but I would have liked to meet him and hear his stories - he must have so many great memories and stories.

I love this movie. Watching this is time around, I found a new appreciation for it. All the work that you put into it making it. Literally awesome! you did an amazing job. Oh and this time watching it, I live about 5 minutes from the ‘son in law’ house. I drive by it everyday on my way to work. I was dyyyying whenever the inbreds were geeking out over that movie. 😂😂😂 ❤️ from central California
R.I.P Verne !! Miss that lil guy !!
The Ben Stiller scene at the end, showing how Hollywood works. Fantastic.
Loved this when it came out. I actually just watched this again with my daughter a few months ago. It still holds up dude. You were my favorite growing up. Never liked anyone else on MTV that’s for sure.
hell yea! Very sweet for you to upload this film on KZread. Glad it’s easily accessible. I don’t recall the 50 cent intro
I totally forgot about Craig Gass and his Sam Kinison imitation. He does an awesome job. Thanks for posting!
It’s me. I’m the winner. I won the free trip to hang with the weasel. Bet y’all didn’t even know there was a contest. whooooooooooo
It's quite brilliant really. It's been a while since I laughed that hard. Great casting! Sizemore/Madsen was perfect.
Man, I used to live in northern Minnesota, and I got this autograph because I mailed you a personal level letter when people used to do cursive and shit and you sent me a sign picture man that made me make all the short films and help my best friend show heart rate books but anyways you’re an influence. I actually had an idea about you being a dad and a movie and I gotta look at my phone for the rest of the things I wrote down on us smoking weed but I always think about putting you in one of my movies
This is the Top Gun Maverick of its generation. Pauly is out here saving Hollywood.
Legend for uploading it on KZread, he truly doesn’t give a shit
