@@sadiahani1812 Yeah. It's sad, but Barkley's supposed "telling it like it is" has been suspiciously pro-establishment for many years. He (and Shaq too) espouses status quo and "personal responsibility" talking points (like speaking against passing down generational wealth when generational wealth is precisely what keeps the powerful in power) while Ernie Johnson does his best to hide a grin. Pushing the establishment agenda is what he was doing as well when he joined all the white commentators in lambasting MJ, the only black owner, as the worst owner ever (as if there haven't been plenty of white owners with struggling franchises in a league where literally just two franchises account for over 30 championships). I think that's when MJ saw him for exactly what he was and why he decided to cut him off for good.

It’s getting to a point now where coaches are becoming obsolete. A team does bad, who does the blame go to? The coach. A team makes the playoffs and lose in the 1st or second round, who gets fired? The coach. Rarely are these players ever held accountable for playing like absolute scrubs.

KD and Kyrie are both "ends justify means" players that's why it'll never work. Those 30 points a piece look good until you realize they were down 20 points most of the game or blowing 20 point leads. As long as those 2 get them plastic stats they can act as innocent as they want.

Nothing incredible, but still signs of a great Front Office. Dysfunction starts from the top. Sean Mark's had a great core and traded it away. He is the GM not KD. Not Kyrie. Charles Barkely is a remedial old talking head like the rest of old people who can only repeat the same takes. Not once have I heard these old people talk about accountability of Sean Mark's and Steve Nash because they wanted to cheer about taking back control. You just heard Shaq say on this segment that coaches are nothing but moral support but Noone bashed him like Kyrie.

  • @awwwsy

Charles then saying Nash was good before being bad is an indictment on Sean Mark's inability to be a good GM but instead we call attention to Kyrie. Who trades Harden for Ben Simmons? Really? Who trades away Jarrett Allen, Levert and Dinwiddie for Harden when you already have KD and Kyrie? It makes you wonder if Sean watches basketball, Harden and Westbrook never learned how to play winning basketball just entertaining. So you trade away the core for a hope. If Sean Mark's does not get Dwight Howard immediately he should be fired ASAP. STOP BLAMING OTHERS WHEN YOU ARE PAID TO DO A JOB!

Chuck really has great takes on this show man, like yes it absolutely is a bad look for the Nets to hire Udoka while the Celtics are trying to punish him. It is what it is, but definitely a bad look especially with all the other disfunction they have

Any team has roles. Players play, they can provide input, but the coach has to be responsible and the one making decisions on the floor. If you got players trying to be a coach and GM at the same time you get teams like the Lakers or the Nets. Play your roles and trust the people around you to make the best decisions.

Agreed. The Nets actually have a chance to win games now that he's gone. We'd never be able to have a 9 game winning streak with Nash as our coach.
