FULL DISCLOSURE: I am familiar with the original version of this song by the original artist/band. However, I have never heard this cover. If there wouldn't have been this cover, I wouldn't ever have listened the original. I love this version, and now I can appreciate the original too.
I can understand that the untimely demise of Dimebag could cement their songs as such sacret artifacts, that any cover version is automatically deemed as "inferior", by the sheer request of the respect for the original artist. I can respect that. Pantera was a one of a kind metal bands, well deserving the spot on as one the four greats in Monsters of Metal. This band is first and foremost a bluegrass band playing covers. You should not judge them in comparison to the originals, since the style is vastly different. They are entertainers first, band second.

😏 didn´t you ask what the range of S´nS was in the Thunderstruck video? Well ... But in all honesty, this isn´t my fav cover of them, it was meant to show you the range and the creativity of them, the other ones I mentioned to you, which are somewhere in the pipeline, I am sure will be more in your wheelhouse. Even though they are all different in their own respect. Score is ok, I can understand your reasoning and if I been honest I would come to a similar score. Looking forward to the next one. take care
I hadn't seen this before. It was definitely different. The accordion solo was cool. But like you said it just didn't hit home.
