Steve, you are wise ... it is plain to see, and you have a beautiful first name ... 1 of, if NOT, the best names out there, and it's very Kewl too 😁👍😎!!!
Steve at his best from a fine album. Frankly, bloody marvellous. A survivor, still going after 55 years.
listening to this album in its entirety is a must for anybody that loves 70's rock 🎸
Chod/Dee, you will love his "Jet Airliner", "Take The Money And Run" and "Swingtown"!!1
The Bass, The Drum, the Hammond Keyboard and the Synthetizer they are supreme!!
One of my all-time top ten. Gorgeous and moving!
Love your reaction being uninterrupted. Lets us enjoy the music the way it should be.
You can't go wrong with Steve Miller Band! Great reaction!
Such good memories, and music 🎶 🎵 glad you enjoy. We did 1976, I was 23 years old, where did all those years go. No complaining here still strong healthy Still rocking. Keep strong keep smiling and by all means Keep On Rocking
The Live is amazing, never knew he did all that with his guitar.
The Steve Miller Band had a lot of great hits in the 70's-80's such as "Gangster Of Love", "Space Cowboy", "Take The Money & Run", "Jet Airliner", "Jungle Love", "The Joker", "Abracadabra", "Swingtown", "Dance, Dance, Dance" & many more.

The Joker. Some people call me Maurice, yes.
In the TV series The Critic, starring Jon Lovitz, Captain Kirk does a great job of this song in a clip for "Star Trek 23: The musical." Shatner's delivery is hilariously like his own album from the 70's.
I love Steve Miller Band! 😀❤️🎸🐕
In The Netherlands the whole album was on single. It is great. The drummer is wonderful. The next song on the album is as good as this. I love The window. You should listen to the whole album. I recommend his onder stuff. You will love Journey From Eden. I allways loved the drummer!

Great driving album for long Western Australia journeys back in the day. Doobies, Clapton live at Budokan, Marianne Faithful, Queen, Moody Blues, Steely Dan (Gaucho and Aja) all on high rotation
There’s a pre song before Fly Like an Eagle that ties directly in to the song. It’s similar to the spacey ending by the keyboard. The lead in is similar. See if you can find it intact to get the full effect. (I think it rounds the whole song out) Just got back from checking the album, the lead in is called Space Intro. I feel that the two should have been presented as one song.
I generally like your reactions, but I especially enjoy it when you react with your wife.
The Steve Miller Band is an American rock band formed in 1966 in San Francisco, California. The band is led by Steve Miller on guitar and lead vocals.
Check out the Neville Brothers' cover of this song, ft. Steve Miller on guitar. It (the album version) gives it some creole funk to kick it up a notch!
Stevie Guitar Miller had lots of hits. I like the deep cuts. The Stake is a groovin rocker.
I have always loved this song. Seal does a great cover.
Oh man. played this song everyday back in the late 70"s. Road trips from NYC down to Wash DC this album was on the 8 track tape in the car. LOL👍👍
First the moon landings beeped. I always took it as a heart beat, like future babies.
Arrangement.. keys.. Guitar on this.. Not even fair!..😎👌🏻
This is one of those lay back smoke a joint and listen to songs.
Chod, BUDDY ... NOW you finally see what we've been saying. You NEED to start off with the studio versions, because that's what they originally intended the songs to sound like. It's where they have the ability to mold and shape the music. Some groups CAN pull off live performances and sometimes, they can even make the songs sound better, like the Allman Brothers, but many can't do as good of a job as in the studio. If you only watch the live performances of these groups, you or your lovely wife may get turned off to what comes with a live performance, flaws and all, and that's not what you're trying to accomplish. As I have been mentioning to you, it is USUALLY safe to watch the "official music videos" from groups in lieu of the studio version if you want to see them perform. That way, in most cases, you get the best of both worlds. Anyway, I'm glad you both got to hear this version.

Amen! Always start by with the original! 😎
Song made no 1. twice on the billboard top 100...can't remember who did the late 90's hip-hop version, but it used MIller's keyboard track/bass. The scene it's used in the Micheal Jordan movie, "Space Jam" is sooooo cool.

Biz Markie (RIP) "Nobody beats the Biz," EPMD "You're a Customer," and one of the tracks off of Pete Rock and CL Smooth from "The Main Ingredient" album (amonst others) all sampled this track, but they're all circa late 80s-early 90s.
My favorite Steve Miller song. When I was living in Kansas City in 1970 I had a chance to see the Steve Miller band for free in a concert at the park. I didn't bother to go because I didn't really know who they were at the time. Big mistake.
You guys should listen to "Fly Like an Eagle" (track 2 on the album) with "Space Intro" (track 1 on the album) together, it sounds amazing!
Seal's cover of this is really good, too! Fly Like an Eagle is a terrific album. In my humble opinion, having lived through it in middle school, this was his last great album, nd it was all downhill from here. Anyway, other great tracks on this record are his cover of the old Mercury Blues; Serenade; Wild Mountain Honey; Rockin' Me; The Window and I guess Take The Money and Run.
That sound at the end was the signal from the first man made satellite, Sputnik.
All I can say is dive deep with Steve Miller. The Joker, Wild Mountain Honey, The Stake, Wintertime are a few I haven't seen in the suggestions yet, but don't limit yourselves, if it's Steve Miller, have a listen. Nice reaction. Peace

Great pics, how bout "shubada do ma ma ma ma"
30 seconds in, she loves it... Not bad for 13 words.
Best wishes Chod! Here's a birthday present for you... One Fine Morning by the band Lighthouse.... Because you like Chicago you will love this.
Try "Living in the USA" for some straight rock & roll with a twist of blues. Somebody get me a cheeseburger !
👍👍👍👍
Wow a trip back to my 8-Track case from the seventies. Well Dee as a kid who grew up in the sixties we thought by now, after watching the Jetsons, Lost in Space and Star Trek, we'd be in flying cars and living on the moon. So much for that huh?
I need to fly like a beagle, to the trees. LOL
The pocket is about 30 feet deep here on FLAE. Everyone stays in it.
That must be a Moog or a Korg dripping on this.. so sick!.
The song's worth a listen with the space intro (similar to the outro) too!
Steve Miller is the guitarist and singer
Huge song when it came out!
Oh yea! SMB
Livin In The USA, and Space Cowboy.
GREAT SONG, GREAT ALBUM ( FLY LIKE AN EAGLE ) TITLE TRACK :) BE WELL GUYS
The Neville Brothers do a great cover of this, too.
Guaranteed this song is better in the studio!!! The Midnight Special version is just not that special!!! Thanks you two!!! 😁💯🔥
Joachim Young played the B3 organ on this song.
Just keep doing Steve Miller. I don't care what song you play. Any compilation of Dee would be welcome.
☮️💜
I'm sure someone's said it, but the Space Jam version is a remake done in the 90's by Seal. His remake stayed pretty true to the original.
😊👍
HIS FOLLOW UP ALBUM ( BOOK OF DREAMS ) HAD 2 BIG HITS FROM IT ALSO : JUNGLE LOVE AND JET AIRLINER :) A DEP TRACK WOULD BE : THE STAKE
You should listen to the album called The Sailor...Boz Scaggs was in his group then. His first three albums are psyche gems. Seal did a cover of this song a few years ago.
You've gotta try Living in the USA from his Sailor album - classic.
Check out "Living in the USA" by Steve Miller, Amazing tune!
When this album dropped Steve Millar just took off. There’s a Canadian musician who recently pasted away a couple of days ago that you must try, Jerry Doucette, with his song Mama Let Him Play: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gZqLktCdqKS6pJs.html
check out the entire book Of dreams album-it'll be your favorite-each track is so good!!!
Another two weeks and we’ll be ready for a Best of Dee video reaction. 😆
OOPS! DEEP
On the album this song is nestled between two others that was meant to be listened to in their entirety. Here is that link if you want a redo: kzread.info/dash/bejne/X6ph2MStnarfaNI.html
Your music mirrors your mind The space intro is an integral part of this song's appeal to me but I guess you had no way of knowing
Were you aware that Steve Miller’s Godfather was the one and only Les Paul? 🎸 ✌🏼😎
can you do a reaction to Ride the Tiger by Jefferson Starship
Go back to his early work… Living in The USA, Going To Mexico, Brave New World.. his first 4 albums were his best

How about your reaction video to Odyssey- "Native New Yorker"
Any compilationof Dee would be welcome.
Great guitarist, good couple of albums! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 We didn’t think the future sounded like a machine. It’s just the sound of a machine, referring to the machine of the future! You guys say dumb stuff sometimes. Someone had to say it! 🤷🏻♂️

she has slippery shoulders....shirts always slip down. 😉
Doesn't it just make you sad, that we still can't take care of people that need it? It could be anyone who sees this post, because you don't know where you will end up.
Shouldn't you guys have headphones on?
His name is Steve Miller. He is the son of big band legend legend Glenn Miller. He grew up around musical legends. Ask your dad. He would know.
