One of my fondest memories is belly laughing with mad dad watching 3 Amigos. I still use insert "I think it's a male plane" whenever I can. My kids "love" it.
I watched this all the time as a kid, and I remember one time in my early 20s, one of my newer friends was trying to get our other buddy's attention, and we were making random noises, and all of a sudden, he goes: "look up here, look up here" in a bird voice and we both just started cracking up :D
I've probably seen "Three Amigos" a few hundred times over the last 34 years since I saw it on HBO in 1987. I'm 38 now and I still love that movie. Well, I know what I'm going to go watch today. :)
I wore my VHS copy to shreds as a kid. Absolutely brilliant movie from beginning to end. “Excuse me! Are you the signing bush?”

Fun fact about the three amigos. I dunno if this would’ve helped it be a bigger hit. But at one point in its production it was gonna be directed by Steven Spielberg and the three amigos were gonna be Steve Martin(as he was also a writer), Bill Murray, and Robin Williams.

The Three Amigos has something for everyone, imo. It's a neat blend of humor. "Great, you've killed the invisible swordsman!" Dusty checks by lifting then dropping the invisible swrdsman's hand. "Yep, he's dead alright."

"Lookuphere. Lookuphere." "I'll come back for you." "Why?"

I had a pletora of laughs with this movie.
The very first story that Howard tells (and not, for some reason, has Martin Short tell), you should listen to on Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me. The whole story is hilarious, of course Short tells it better, and Short reminds Peter Sagal several times that Selena Gomez is also in Only Murders in the Building.
