And talent
Steve Marriott one of a kind. One of those rockin' rollers that can not be duplicated. There will never be another one. RIP
Truly an extremely talented singer and musician...one of the best to ever write, play, sing and perform on stage...pray for this good spirit
bought the vinyl in the late seventies, at the time I didn't know Steve Marriott, but I couldn't resist the album cover and the attitude in that great picture of him. Took it home and loved it! What a singer, and I've still got the album on vinyl

That´s the way I bought dozens of albums back then, just for the cool covers. Sometimes I was deceived.
One of my favorite albums of all time. Love it. Masterpiece by the best blues singer. What a voice. What a guitar. What a feeling. Miss you, Steve.
Literally the best rock n roll singer of all time. Try to prove me wrong.
This is a wonderfully produced album, Steve’s vocals and all instruments can be heard so clearly. You can hear the true potential of Steve’s beautiful voice with every one of his incredible vocalisms. Songs like You Don’t Know Me highlight his fantastic vocal range. Love ya Steve, you are one of the best and most soulful singers ever. I sure wish you were still with us ♡
Steve had so much energy almost like he was ready to fight. You can see it and hear it in his voice. Die hard Rocker. Rock in peace my friend.
saw him first in 1971 played with FRAMTON opened for Black Sabbath and Mountain . Marriot stole the show
One of the Greatest Rockers of All Times...Rip Legend

Yet another great man getting completely ripped of by that shister Don arden.
Can't find the words to say how much steves music means to me.
Mark Farner from Grand Funk Railroad and Steve Marriott used to sing together and drink ''elephant beers'' in Germany before the concert starts that were the times. I would like to be in that kind of company !!!
Rock lovers will listen to that "voice" forever. Thanks for sharing.
i was a roadie in the 1970`s and this is my favourite song = MIDNIGHT ROLLING !
the unmistakable rock and roll voice of Steve MArriott! Thank you
Great legendary vocalist from 70 year!🤘✌

Great album fantastic voice
You hear those Greg Ridley backing vocals come in and all's right with the world. Catch that "The Fixer" riff at the end of East Side Struttin'...
Rock único, Rock para siempre. Gracias por mantener vivo ese género musical. Saludos desde Colombia!
Humble pie was just a great band __ the smokin album one of my favorites__ The live album has to be one of the best everything comes to an end that's the way of the world__ but there Music lives on ___ rock on. STEVE. MARRIOTT..
God DAMN now that's how you rock 'n roll.
One of my all time favorite albums, this and Humble Pie's "SMOKIN"
"Steve Marriott(the Faces,Humble Pie,Steve Marriott solo): Great Guitarist, Great Singer, often underrated but always on top with his music, even during his the pain he went through, and he died during a fire in his home, while he wasn't a house hold name he was a music legend still and his stints with the Faces and Humble Pie made him apart of rock n roll history a very good album, good songs, i don't know any of the musicians on the album but they had to be good or they wouldn't be playing with Marriott, Thanks."-😎. 🌐🎤🎸🎹🌐.

I like this album very much. I like this kind of man's voice. It is very different from Italian opera singer's voice. Both are brilliant.
What a hell, big surprise, I knew the artist but I never listen him out of humble pie
He was a short man that played the guitar bigger than him.
Que manera de tocar Marriott...... Y que muerte tan fea...........todo por el maldito cigarrillo.........gran disco
mitico Steve Marriott ❤️

Had a nice promo of this but, still 45 years later except for wham bam I don't regret trading it

What doesn't add up? Steve was high/drunk when he lit up the ciggarette, and while doing it he fell asleep, tragically the cig falls into a flammable surface and set the fire.
What a huge loss.

Later With Humble Pie. which featured Peter Frampton.
@Logoned
4 жыл бұрын
Toney Isaiah IMO Frampton's sound did not belong in Humble Pie which ironically enough was built by Marriot around Frampton. Frampton was too pop and his guitar just didn't have the blues soul which was at the core of that band. In came Clem Clempson a real guitarist with blues roots, a much better fit.

This album sounds beer-soaked. Not bad, but also kind of boring. But props on giving your all and rest in peace, talented man. 🙏🏼🦋
This could have been a great album but sadly let down by a terrible echoey production. Marriott deserved so much more. Used to love the way he sang the intros to the songs at Humble Pie gigs. What a legend.
Steve's voice seems a bit pitched up to me on this album.
His biggest mistake was leave small faces

A victim of his own demons & excesses. Pity that, for if the term GOAT wasn’t invented for Marriott, it was because the language wasn’t yet invented to categorize his importance.
