@@cristopherpaula4566 I'm glad peeople are seeing....Lets look at some numbers while we're at it...With TJD in the starting lineup the warriors defensive rating is an 89!!!!.....That's 2nd to Rudy gobert in the nba for lineups that have played over 60 minutes together...Teams weren't scoring against him when you sub podz in for TJD the defensive rating is a 132!!! that's LAST among lineups that have played more than 60 minutes together

Right, it just doesn’t pair. The team is not deadly enough from outside or fast enough to be simply pulling off constant motion like that, and it’s not as if they have the tools or clearly do enough training for PNR’s. It’s just CP3 there, trying to fit into a jank system

The Warriors revolutionized the game by creating a hybrid motion offense that allowed their elite shooters to get clean looks regularly, destroying the unprepared league with their 3 point shooting. But it's been years since then without any innovation, and defenses have caught on. You can tell that Steph and Klay just aren't getting as open anymore, and after years of relying on movement to create space for them, they aren't capable of automatically making the elite pick and roll reads that guys like Lebron, Luka, Shai, and others can make. They're still effective enough though because they're just such great shooters, but you can tell the quality of looks has gone down year after year, leading to less wins, and lower efficiency. And it's pretty obvious the Warriors need a change, but Steve Kerr just refuses to adjust the way the offense is run. It just feels like Kerr is desperately trying to hold onto the magic that made the Warriors great, and I don't think he's willing to admit when the players he loves falters, or the system that has brought them so much success has become outdated. You can see that in the way he staunchly defends his veterans even in the face of unacceptable behavior and unequivocal failures, and in the lack of adjustments they make from game to game, and year to year. Klay and Draymond are not stars anymore, and Steph Curry is not good enough to carry a team on his own. Even if he was, he wouldn't be able to carry them to a championship. Ultimately, unless this team makes some massive changes this offseason, they're finished.

Warriors revolutionized illegal moving screens that the league blatantly ignored. & The warriors definitely knew in 2016 that changes need to happen because they traded for the 2 nd best player in the league in kD. Which was smart but very Weak. Refusing to discipline Dray for punching Jordan Poole was unacceptable imo

I was watching some 07-08 Celtics highlights yesterday, and a bunch of them feature Paul and KG running late-clock, second action pick and rolls deeeep into the paint. Like, the original play defended, looking for another option, and Paul just instinctively moves towards KG - bc he's capable of dribbling in traffic - and Garnett instinctively pivots to shed Pierce's defender; and then Paul either slashes in and scores, shoots with contact on his hip, or KG drifts while Paul drags help inside, and Pierce gives him the ball, easy 2. Over, and over, and over, and over. All season long, from like, game one to the end of the Finals. Not even involving Ray, and after Rondo initiated. Like, it's two HOFers, obviously, but it was automatic, completely practiced, situational offense. It was what they defaulted to when things went wrong - and it was more organized than most teams now are with a fresh clock coming out of a timeout. There's been an incredible jump in personal skill across the board, but guys are absolutely dog crap at playing together in the modern game.

It's like the Kings won by purposely playing bad defense. You confuse hot shooting teams mentally if you just leave the paint wide open and dangle easy layups in front of them instead. Leave that little bit of doubt in their mind that the 3 is a better shot. If you overreacted to the 3, the Warriors used to just blow past you all night. Now it's like they've lost that part of their offense.

Watching this game, my hair started standing on end, my hands started tingling, and the air tasted like electricity. That's lightning on the way, and sure enough, here it is.
