Generational poverty has been like a curse in my family. Fueled by low education and too many kids. As a person who knows what it's like to break out of poverty, I can tell you that everything Steve is saying is absolutely true. I was the first person to graduate college in my family. It took 12 years, but I graduated with honors and debt free. I had a great career and did well enough to retired early. I can add a few bits of advice as well: Don't be afraid of failure. Endeavor to persevere. Don't let the thoughts, observations, comments, opinions, and judgements of others tell you how to live your life. Don't wait for opportunities to be given to you, make them yourself. Learn. Learn. Learn. If school won't teach you what you want to know, educate yourself. Knowledge is power but power is useless without action.

High school definitely is more advanced. The development of my mentality and perseverance must start now. I know it's going to be harder in the future. As a small artist and producer in the underground hip-hop scene, I’m often in need of words of encouragement to keep me pushing my music out there to get more and more ears to hear it. And keep refining my craft in the meantime and get better and better so I can become the greatest artist I am capable of becoming. 🙏🏻🤝 i know I can do it if I give it my all. So I'm a 1st year university student and I have struggles with maths and statistics and since I started I have been having negative thoughts that I will fail those 2 classes and that I will not do anything correct on my quizes and now watching this vid, I can say that Steve knows his job this motivates me to tell myself that I will start my days with positive thoughts think of something good be grateful that I have things that are precious to me. And with that now I think that I will pass my classes no matter what happens And a small msg for all of you who will read my comment. Every morning you wake up tell yourself that something good will happen to you, tell yourself that today you will listen to your fav music or stuff like that. Never give up no matter how hard it is, you will succeed, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, don't let anyone or anything demotivate you find something to keep you going through hard times. I'm grateful that I found this video which helped me understand that I can get rid of my bad thoughts and such.

y'all cant take the elevator to the top because it don't go all the way, you gotta take the stairs. Steve's way of saying ease isn't always the best way but hardship will get you there and more if you wish. if this don't motivate you to keep moving forward and to never give up, nothing will. if you cant think of things that you are grateful for, something is very wrong. put your shoes far under the bed so that when you wake up you have to get down on your knees and reach for them. thank you Steve for motivating all these people and me!!!!!

Steve Harvey is a famous person that I have all my respectation. His speeches are always power, motivated and utility. He reminds me to keep positve and gratitude. Everyone as every age is still developing and people's potential is not limited. So it is never too late to start to change to get greatness.
