A person knows they've done something not only right, but beautifully when his words of kindeness, understanding, respect and love for one another has traversed the nation and possibly the world and is now taught to children. Mr. Steve Hartman, you are a gift to humanity. May we have many more years of yiur thought provoking segments.

I was thinking the same thing. When I watch Steve Hartman interviewed, Mr Rogers comes to mind. Soft spoken, thoughtful, kind and a national treasure.

I’m hoping if Steve really wants to retire…then he will mentor his replacement. But he would have to do the segments WITH the new person for awhile. That way we would still get to see Steve &/the new person would learn from the master!
