Is it weird that an American (me) knows Rob Brydon because of obsessively watching WILTY and the other hilarious panel shows in the UK, and not from "The Trip" films? I've seen the films now but that's because I looked up everything else Rob has done and I was like "holy shit! He did a show with Steve Coogan where the whole point was to one-up each other doing impressions? SOLD!".

@@gustafsone As an American, it's weird for me to know who both Steve Coogan and Steve Brydon are, AND to see them on an American late night talk show - for which I'm very happy. I first became acquainted with Coogan through his obnoxious Alan Partridge character, where Partridge was the presenter of a talk show called Knowing You, Knowing Me with Alan Partridge (also the name of the show we were watching), in which he interviewed [fictional] C-level celebrities. In the very last episode, Patridge accidentally kills his guest on camera. A couple of years later, in the sitcom I'm Alan Partridge, Alan is still paying the price for this as he's exiled to doing a morning radio show in Norwich - though he's still as obnoxious as ever.

Steve, the most Alan Partridge thing in history is to have a zoom call with your multi-camera security feed in shot displaying your English Tudor Garden.

Yeah I have no doubt whatsoever if I met Coogan I would dislike him. A very talented knob.

I loved that. Nice to see Steve Coogan being Steve Coogan. I noticed that the Preview youtube choices came up at 4:50 but the show continued behind them til the end. Some comments mentioned it ending at 4:50. It goes to 6:14

I love that Jimmy just brushes right over Rob's story about Mick ! haha - not even a sec to laugh or breathe . nope ! the story end and BOOM 'thanks for coming on !' LOL

I love "The Trip" shows, these guys are hilarious

He (Mick Jagger) did his version of Rob's impersonation of Michael Caine at a party. "Don't you throw those those spears at me." A Zulu reference. So Rob is doing Jagger doing Caine. And it sounds mostly Jagger!

Jimmy, you have to promote Alan Partridge more. America has to see it! So glad I lived in London for a while.

Well, when the video was first posted it cut off abruptly before that part played. So my comment no longer makes sense. But you can tell that something was missing by noticing where the links to other videos shows up. Why are they not at the end of the video? Makes you think.

Hi there, The Mick Jagger is at the 5.07 mark, the next video ending credits come up briefly but the video stays on for 6 mins 14 seconds. Does it cut off for you before that?

youtube michael caine royal albert hall its was brilliant because he was only the 3rd best caine..... the trips are slow but GREAT tv .....get carter is an unbelievable film.........the ending and its connection to the train journey in the opening credits.....michaels acting.........and they filmed an random pub in newcastle and didnt realise one of the drinkers had six fingers!

I don't know how they shot this one but I was thinking a logical progression would be mock-umentary so they could talk to the cameras and get behind the scenes they 'don't know' are being shot. And, a la the Office, they have an excuse to play up and try to show off because they want to look good on the show.
