Theres a question that I've been dying to ask Mr. Blank. If your goal is to get funding from people who are going to eventually replace you with an operating executive once your business is scalable, then what's in it for you to find a feasible business model? If you won't reap the liquidity of your company, then do they give you some kind of severance check? How will you be compensated for your hard work?

Excellent insights, practical advise and tips about starting, growing and scaling your company by Steve Blank. This video should be "required" watching for anyone considering or currently launching a startup. Steve shares his vast knowledge and sage wisdom for entrepreneurs, especially in regard to product development, listening to customers and critical steps to starting and growing a business. Love his "behind the curtain" expertise & tips on sales, VC secrets, failure and listening to customers by getting outside your building. Bravo!

The exchange at the end alone is worth the investment of time. You have to align the customer pain point with the pay point - the quicker and more efficiently you discover this the greater the likelihood you can build a sustainable business. My opinion is that VC investment Should be delayed, hopefully permanently, until this alignment of pain and payments is demonstrable.

Man I love real oldschool nerds. This guy is great! Thanks for the excellent content! Just a heads up, I'm an audio engineer and producer, there is a strange low mid nasally muffled tinge to both speakers that I'm guessing is coming from the lav mics. Might wanna try swapping those out. I don't hear the same issue with the HH wireless in the audience. It's not anything 99.9999% of people would notice, but just a heads up. Thanks again!

Question for everyone - how do you get user feedback (b2c) on a sw product before investing to even build an mvp? I thought about sending an Adobe xd wireframe design out to test a concept and get feedback. To understand if people would pay for it, I thought I'd offer a ~$40 lifetime membership (the service would be about $10-20/mo) once built... how have others done it?

Good advice if you are a start up with financial backing, fact is most start ups are small scale businesses that consist of one maybe two people, who have no money or very little. This is where advice is needed, ok listening, going out to meet the customer is obvious enough, it is getting those contacts that maybe are in another country (not all small start ups aim for their own town), how to find them who to speak too, what advantages do I have, how does business work etc etc, ok sales people understand this but start ups don't they develop a product/idea and have no idea how the game works and no finances to employ someone who does. I would not be surprised if many great ideas are not out there because someone could not go it alone. Yes I have developed a product that is very unique and global potential, have had sound feedback but no understanding of how it all works now? wasting a lot of time looking for advice on youtube and never quite finding it.

dear sometimes I use rude expressions but no longer because you've to know your ex-partner in terms of what it conceder as valuable thing. For example, some do like money and thinks it is life but others thinks time is worth more than money so the underestimate money, and rare characters do appreciate knowledge and overestimates it and if they are so the money ranks always last and time in the middle. It seems to 5 billions people in the world as it unacceptable because naturally all people like money the most. despite of that, time only who can tell whom such people are by encountering the money-test in reality which I believe that no less than 99% percent of world people would fail to do.you've set up an hour discussion about how one could make money, I would say have you seen an employee have discussed how such person became a staff member? no, because all what you've to do is follow the recruitment dept. instruction if you're applicable, for business, all what you've to do is make the scale larger not dept. of a company but a country. public misconception is that business people are smart than other people, no at all some are hard workers, some have particular support in the market, and many have variety of reasons that let them function properly. The most complex question a rare person would ask, how fair and accurate the nation business rules are. Since you've made eight and succeeded I would say the U.S. is business base nation and it do appreciate the value of money more than the other preciouses things that I have stated above. thanks boy.
