Steve Bannon describes what a second Donald Trump Presidency would look like | LBC

Steve Bannon, the outspoken former adviser to Donald Trump, has branded NATO a "protectorate, not an alliance" as he called for European elites to "pitch in".
Mr Bannon, who wants a less interventionist US foreign policy, told LBC's Andrew Marr that NATO, which was set up after the Second World War to provide security against the Soviet Union, had become "an American security guarantee" for Europe.
NATO member states are meant to put 2% of their GDP into their annual military budgets. But just seven of 30 NATO member states in 2022, the latest figures available - despite Russia invading Ukraine, a NATO neighbour in February that year.
The seven who contributed 2% or more were the US, UK, Greece, Poland and the three Baltic states. Eight members met the required military spending rate the year before.
Mr Bannon, a controversial figure for his right-wing views, denied that Mr Trump wanted to "cut ties" with NATO if he regained the US presidency in November.
Mr Trump got his re-election campaign off to a strong start on Monday by winning the Iowa caucus of Republican candidates for the party's nomination.
Mr Bannon, who served in Mr Trump's White House from 2016-2017, told Andrew:"What we’ve always argued for, and I argued with the national security advisors of the individual countries, is we want it to be an alliance. That means, like England and like Poland, you have to meet the minimum of the 2% of GDP to throw into the pot."
He added that "more importantly, you have to have a military that has interoperability - it’s actually an alliance. It's not an alliance right now. It's basically an American security guarantee of European freedom and that can’t happen.
"You can’t have countries in Europe that have healthcare, six week vacations, pension funds, and the American people have none of that, because we have a trillion-dollar defence budget."

The mainstream media intentionally, of course, didn’t report on a lot of it because of the Trump derangement syndrome but instead focused on made up and false accusations by Democrats against him. They were made up and false. He did it even though he was always having to deal with non-MAGA establishment neocon stuffed shirt republicans, besides the Dems, who also worked to try to undermine him. But MAGA has been busy these last 3 years overcoming both. You don’t understand that in politics and in Congress etc there will always be politics/games, but what MAGA and Trump faced was unprecedented because of their resistance to change. Yet, he still accomplished a lot.

If you want justice and rooting out the rot of the deep state, it requires someone who has spent his entire life fighting for justice against powerful corrupt elites. It requires someone with deep and vast knowledge of the inner workings of the government, CIA, NSA, CDC, NIH, etc. and exactly who within those beurocracies needs to be surgically removed. There is only one man with the surgical capability to accomplish this - and if you listen to podcasts interviewing R F K jr. you’ll quickly see who this is…and you’ll also learn a lot of fascinating secret details about how this country has been run. GREAT interview with Steve Bannon! He has been fighting daily to save America from the radicals, the deep state control and the CCP. He is a REAL patriot and puts his money where his mouth is. We owe a tremendous debt for Steve’s daily articulating the issues, explaining the challenges, and for defining who we are fighting against to keep our freedom and sovereignty. We ALL need to support him now more than ever. The time is short to save our country.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

And Trump had his chance. Didn't he tell Hillary in their second debate that if he won that he'd direct his attorney general to appoint a special counsel to investigate her? And Trump FAILED to do what he said he would do. He said the Clintons had been through enough. Also during the 2016 election cycle Hillary said if Trump won that THEY all would hang. Doesn't take much of a stretch of the imagination to see that the THEY that Hillary was talking about was the SWAMP. So we have two campaign slogans, LOCK HER UP & DRAIN THE SWAMP that were just that.... campaign slogans. Trump didn't follow through and the country is a bad state because of it.

I actually agree that it's time for the USA to withdrawal for awhile. We are messing things up and other countries would probably be able to solve their own problems.

Won't happen. MIC "needs" $$$$$$. Withdrawal doesn't require weapons, which equals profits, which leads to bonuses for the C-suite. Sad, but there is literally zero long-term thinking these days

We've withdrawn from pretty much everywhere. Are you talking about funding? Because if you don't fund countries like Ukraine and Israel, you'll eventually pay for it in other ways. That's what happened with Germany in the 40s. The US spent $7 TRILLION under Trump (while cutting taxes for the wealthy). Biden has continued that trend. The bigger issue is financial responsibility.

The only way we will ever get control of the budget process is to go to 0 base budgeting rather than the base line budgeting now in use. Baseline budgeting is where all the many bureaucracies start with the baseline budget of the previous year, and add a built in increase. they go into a spending spree at the end of each year to be sure to spend everything in their budget to justify the next budget years increase. Zero based budgeting requires each bureau to justify every dollar they are allocated.

Bannon worked at the Breitbart News, for the primary financier of Cambridge Analytica, Robert Mercer. To give Bannon credit for it's success is an oversimplification and a fallacy. Subsequent to the Trump election win, which used Mercer funds from the Make America Number 1 SuperPac (approx. 25m dollars), and also the information provided by Cambridge Analytica data, Bannon was released from his obligations at the Breitbart and given a post in the transition team at the Trump White House.
