Saw them all through the 90's and early 2000's in the tri-state area and they NEVER disappointed. It was sad when Mary died, but they plugged on and were still brilliant. My favorite band from the 90's on. Man, I miss those days terribly.

Me neither. Gotta dig through my cd collection now and find the couple of albums I have by them.

Hi Greg, great to see you back spinning some tunes. Great Stereolab track. I’m a huge fan of their stuff. So looking forward to seeing what else you have got lined up of theirs to listen to. Speaking of which….do you remember the little competition you set back earlier this year after you returned from your hiatus?….it was in your video of ‘DIIV… Air Conditioning’ I.e. that you’d do a reaction to a song of choice for whoever could name the track and artist used in your new into the music intro. Guess who guessed it!😅…. And guess what band I chose a track from…. Look back on my comment from the DIIV video to find out!… anyway, no worries if you don’t fancy it…not like I was waiting patiently all this time or anything!😭😅. Anyway, thanks and looking forward to what’s ahead on the channel!

Good to hear from you, Finbarr. And thanks for the reminder. I will be more than happy to spin out a reaction to that request. Look for it later in November.

As you said, there is so much great music to be heard. I first listened to Stereolab in the mid-nineties or so, and have always dug their funky, futuristic, groovy lounge music. I am 62 and alone and find myself feeling sorry for myself at times, but 'discovering' new music, whether it be from many decades past or new bands and releases, humbles me and makes me want to talk about it too, and pray I don't lose that passion. Again, good to see you back, and keep 'em comin'. Thanks. Oh, what is the song used in your intro; if it is listed, I couldn't find it. Fun fact: It reminds me of a song from the 1968? movie "Girl in Gold Boots", lol, which is a trip in and of itself.

I'm just scratching the surface on this band and ready to take a dive into more. Excited for the journey! As to what you're going through, while I don't dare say I know what you're going through, please know that I empathize and wish you better days ahead. I'll also do my best in this regard by publishing some more music reaction content, hopefully music that you find interesting and perhaps to help lift your spirits. Best, Greg

Love Stereolab and this track manages to be propulsive and dreamy at the same time. Did you ever listen to Tim Gane's former band McCarthy? Quite different to Stereolab, jangly Indie guitar music. How is your Cardiacs journey? It would be nice to hear tou react to something else of theirs, perhaps from On Land and In the Sea, which is to me their best record, alongside Sing to God. Buds and Spawn is an epic number.

Hi Greg, great to see you back. Do you still do that Ko-Fi thing. Anyway, I would like to throw a suggestion your way. It’s Balloon Man by Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians. I know who you compare him with. Every one does. But he has his own thing that had a devoted following in the UK
