Eliane! Funky, soulful, and burning it up -- all at the same time! Beautiful!

I had the distinct pleasure of playing a bunch of gigs where Billy Kilson played with Larry Carlton and as this shows he’s a simply amazing player in every way..... these are serious players and this kicks ass.

Lovely to see Mike Mainieri and Eliane Elias showing that great rapport that helped make the self titled Steps Ahead such a great album, even though it would have been great to have Peter Erskine and Eddie Gomez, Marc Johnson and Billy Kilson make a great rhythm section whil Donny McCaslin does a wonderful job in channeling the spirit of the late great Michael Brecker but still staying true to his own self. Such a great band of some of the finest musicians in the world.

Steps Ahead: everyone is a part of the Jazz Hall of Fame, thank you for the great emotions you gave to us since many years

Marc Johnson is one of the greatest bassist ever, so much respect and appreciation.....And Eliane you are the best!

While some are clearly better than others, there is no such thing as "best", only favorites.

The very fab Eliane Elias on piano. You're wonderful.

One of the best moments on KZread. What amazing musicians! Every solo a triumph. Maybe the best bass solo I remember seeing. Gave me goosebumps! These people really feel the beat.

What a band! Straight ahead all the way. Jazz is a language all in it's self. We can enjoy it in these terrific videos and preserve it by sharing it. Bravo jazz masters.

What a sexy women and pianist. Mark Johnson is a lucky man besides being a magnificent bassist. Drummer is superb. That is music at it,s very best.

Hardly a Steps reunion, with only two from that classic 1983 album line up. Great swinging band however! Would have been nice to see Peter Erskine & Eddie Gomez join in too but Billy and Marc are slaying it anyway!

They sound terrific, and it's nice to hear q return to an acoustic sound... but it's hard to call it a reunion if it's just Manieri and Eliane Elias from the original group... they should have gotten Eddie Gomez and Peter Erskine for it to be a true reunion.
