@sam buddy That's why I like Colby and away from the cameras he's nice to fans and admits it's to generate money. He did what he had to do and he's the only wrestler who made an effort to not only be a good striker but an exciting striker and he pieced up Robbie Lawler which was good to see skillwise.

You know that when Wonderboy says something that makes himself look good like “I have the best striking in the division,” he completely believes it, and I think he’s right too. He’s the most humble, honest dude in the UFC in my opinion.

Don't think WB will ever get another crack at the title. As good as WB is on the feet , he ain't no IZZY and he has no groundgame. His striking skills just ain't enough and even in the stand up department he has shown weakness in his defense. Dude got dropped by Woodley and barley survived his choke. Then he got dropped by Till and KO'ed by Pettis.

He would have a shot, if only Dana allowed him to fight higher ranked opponents instead of treating him like a gatekeeper. If he worked on his BJJ/wrestling he'd be all around incredible, he'd pick everybody apart if he had a better ground game. I don't see him getting the title, sadly. He's another people's champ.

I loved how the MMA community went after Leon Edwards after he told Wonderboy to “fuck off” it shows just how much of a fan favorite Wonderboy is

@Khal Drogo Leon didn't understand that rankings don't matter. It's "what have you done for me lately". This is why this fight is perfect for him if he wins. He wins against Khamzat, surefire title shot and definite excitement. A win against Wonderboy wouldn't have much of an impact.

This guy has such a likeable personality. Would love to see him working with the UFC after he retires.

While I definitely agree, I always think back to Chris Weidman's ill-fated wheel kick against Rockhold when he lost his title, and I think "man, Wonderboy probably had something to do with that." If WB coaches someone, I think his first lesson should be "don't try to imitate me in a championship fight."

You can have so-so striking if its main purpose is to distract the opponent from your wrestling, and vice versa. Colby has the right tools for the type of fighting he excels at, but let's not pretend he's a master kickboxer.

He wants to fight himself. Love it. Dude is impossible to hate

You have to think like that to be the best, you can't be like "yeah X Y and Z can beat me"

This interview format was excellent. I hope you get more opportunities to have more fighters make an appearance on the channel and do similar types of interviews. Brilliant work 👌🏼

it wouldn't in the classic sense, would be like till vs wonderboy. would only be enjoyable if you understand striking properly, if people are looking for all out war that won't be a "great" fight.

Izzy is a bad matchup for Wonderboy. Wb would find it tough to close the range, taking leg kicks would affect his foot movement, and he doesn't move his head much. So Izzy would probably knock him out.

They're not even in the same weight division.... I know weight divisions don't matter all that much anymore but why would Izzy, the middleweight champ, fight a welterweight?
