    I don't understand how they miss the whole point of T-Mac's original statement. He said that him being a scorer, him wanting the ball as much as MJ, it would be easier for him to team up with a guy that's not like him. And I m sure that if MJ had to pick between a guy that's not like him for example Pippen and T-Mac, he would choose Pippen every single time. Great teams are not built by putting 5 people with the same characteristics. And T-Mac knows that

    Where does this come from, this idea that Mike doesn't care or doesn't try to make his team better? He WILL get on his teammates for not performing. He DID put in the work to be an example to his team "this is what I am willing to do to win, what about you?" Where is this coming from? This idea that MJ didn't care about teammates and didn't care how good or bad they did as long as he got 30 or 40 points? MJ was about winning, and he's not an idiot, he knows he can't just drop 40 and win, he learned that in his earlier years when facing the pistons and celtics.

    I’ve watched both Jordan and Lebron play from their very first year. To say that Lebron is a great player is an understatement but to suggest that he’s on the level of Jordan is absurd. Watching MJ dominate games is something you had to see in order to believe. That pixilated KZread doesn’t do him justice. I don’t think people realize the impact of HD and 4K at various camera angles play into how great a player appears. No doubt that MJ would average 40+ a game by today’s rules. And that’s not a stretch given that he had a season in which he averaged 37pts/game and 35/game. Just let that sink in for a second. 37 points a game while also being a first team lockdown defender.

    I saw MJ play too. He did a load of damage. My problem isn't with him or LeBron. The thing that gives LeBron the edge to me is the caliber of the teams he's faced in the finals. All of those teams had at least three Hofers on them. The opponents Jordan faced only had one or two. Utah having the most. Jordan was every bit as good as I said he was. His opponents is the difference between him and LeBron.

    Put each player in each other's era and they would still be the best player. They like to say that the game was much more physical back then but think about this. If MJ was 6'6 around 220 lbs and was a slasher what would LeBron be as a 6'8" 250 slasher with a Jump Shot.

    For this generation Lebron, but in comparison to Michael Jordan. I would pick Jordan, seeing Jordan perform in the 80's and 90's. He took over the game on defense and offense. He had 100+ blocks and steals 2 seasons in a row, while being the scoring leader. Plus the NBA back then was rougher/physical than it is now. But I guess the generations are changing, women becoming more masculine and men becoming more feminine.

    Jordan NEVER ONCE even got to .500 without Pippen. Yes, the "goat" had a losing record EVERY SINGLE YEAR (Five seasons) Pippen wasn't there. He played 11 playoff games without Pippen...and lost TEN. Yes, he was was 1-10 without Pippen in the playoffs, and yes, he made the playoffs with LOSING records every year (including a 30-52 record in 1986), but the "East is weak" in LeBron's era.

    Here's an easy way to settle this. Yes Lebron passed Jordan in mostly all Playoff stats, but he also had to play 45 more games to do so. If u compare Lebron's stats at 179 playoff games (which is how many Jordan played), Jordan beats out Lebron in almost every category. It's pretty simple, when comparing the 2 evenly game per game, Jordan has the better numbers, more points scored, higher average, more clutch, ect. I don't even know how this is a debate. The guy who had to play more games just to brake even with the guy ahead of him is obviously not the better, a 5 year old can figure this one out.

    and he'll jumpship again after this year. the whole thing about making others better is a myth. why? cos lebron gets high assists- assists don't always mean "making teammates better", in the words of dean smith, assists can also be selfish. if lebron made people better as the narrative suggests, he wouldn't always whine about needing help, he wouldn't always switch teams, and he wouldn't always feel the need to play as the point guard. say what you want about mj, but he never did the "we are top heavy" route. the only time he went public was when he came back from baseball and said he wanted pippen to stay, cos bulls and pip where at logger heads.....if lebron really made folks better, people wouldn't be crying everyday about he needs help

    Max's argument is so flawed. First of all, Pippen wasn't just an "all-star". Pippen was a top-5 player, elite on both ends of the floor. He was the Kawhi Leonard of the 90s. Think about that! Michael Jordan's wingman FOR 10 SEASONS was a Kawhi Leonard level player. Secondly, notice the verbal gymnastics Max engages in. He started by blaming Pippen's migraines for Jordan losing game 7 to the Pistons in 1990. Then he says JORDAN swept the Pistons the next year, failing to give Pippen the credit he deserved. THEN he very cleverly says that Jordan never didn't win the title "when he played a full season" and had all-star level Pippen. That is such a weak argument. It's a shame how Jordan lovers try to dismiss his loss to the Magic by saying that he didn't play a full season. What a joke! Furthermore, Max's disingenuous argument belies the fact that Jordan didn't just have Pippen. He also had Rodman, Harper, Kukoc, Kerr, Cartwright, Armstrong, Salley, and 2 legit 7-footers in Longley/Wennington to bang with teams that had dominant centers. Michael Jordan played 5 seasons without Pippen (first 3 and last 2). In those 5 seasons without Pippen, Jordan's team was below .500 every time.

    djuanOD - No. That's the bulls**t argument Jordan lovers make, but it ain't true. Pippen was a top 5 draft pick, so he was expected to be a great player. Pippen is a 1st-balot HOF'r and one of the top-50 players in the history of the NBA. Jordan doesn't deserve credit for that. If Jordan "made" Pippen great, then why the hell didn't didn't Jordan make any of his other teammates HOF'rs and top-50 all-time players?

  • @Odeezee

    @Odeezee

    6 жыл бұрын

    did you even bother to see Pippens numbers during his first 3 years with the Bulls? he became a Top 50 player *AFTER* they had already won the chip, not before like Jordan. no one claimed that Jordan could make *EVERY* teammate a HOF/All-Star (Pippen was at a level to start with that was a good base to build on) but without Jordan, Pippen would not have been great, literally just take a look at his first 3 seasons even with Jordan and the Bulls and then watch what *HE* himself said made him great; paraphrasing here but, "scrumming everyday at practice *AGAINST* Jordan". so while it may be an unpopular narrative for one such as yourself because it goes counter to what you want to be the truth, the truth is Jordan and Phil helped make Pippen the great player he is known for today. i find it fascinating that you expected Jordan to beat the Magic after not playing ball for almost 2 years and coming in at the last ~15 of 82 games of the season, now that's called mental gymnastics and such a disingenuous statement to even make given that it's a *FACT* that he did not play a full season. Max acknowledged the loss but gave context to it, so how is that a joke?

  • @C2Poke

    @C2Poke

    6 жыл бұрын

    djuanOD - Did you even bother to see that before Pippen, Jordan’s Bulls only won between 30-40 games every year and were never even competitive in their 1st rd series? The Bulls went from 40 wins the year before Pippen was drafted...to 50 wins (and a playoff series win) in Pippen’s ROOKIE year. Forget individual stats. Pippen immediately made the Bulls better. The only reason it took 3 years for Pippen’s offensive numbers to reach all-star level is because it took time for Phil Jackson to convince Jordan that his teammates were good enough to help him win titles....if he would just learn to trust them and the system. Jordan NEVER had a winning record without Pippen. He also never won a playoff series without Pippen. Pippen did both without Jordan. So GTFOH with that bulls**t argument of yours! Every teammate that ever played with Jordan “scrummed with him every day”. Yet NONE of the others ever became what Pippen did. If you’re going to give Jordan credit for Pippen, then he deserves criticism for failing to have that level of impact on any other player throughout his career. When did Jordan develop that magical ability? Because he sure as hell didn’t show that “special” ability during his first 3 seasons or his last 2 seasons (the 5 seasons he played without Pippen). Coincidentally, those 5 seasons are the only losing seasons of Jordan’s career. Those 1-on-1 battles against Jordan may have been a benefit to Pippen, but Jordan did not “make” Pippen. FOH!

  • @Odeezee

    @Odeezee

    6 жыл бұрын

    you really have an peculiar way of debating don't you? you keep presenting logical fallacies in order to push your narrative. i never said that Pippen was not a good player what i did say was that it took him years to start making it to an All-Star level, when was not even starting or playing more than ~20 mins mind you. Pippen was good and due to his personal talents (base), Phil Jackson's coaching and Michael Jordan competitiveness and demanding the best from his teammates, he was able to reach All-Star level. saying that Jordan should make the other Bulls teammates All-Stars just because he helped Pippen become one is illogical and rather facetious; the other teammates need to have the potential to become All-Stars in the first place, they at least became better ball players due to playing with MJ, but more importantly why you are trying to even make such a specious argument, in the first place, is rather disappointing. also saying Pippen won a playoff series without Jordan, is just such a ridiculous statement to make without context, as Pippen only won that series *AFTER* they were already 3-peat World Champs. by your "logic" i could say that Pippen also subsequently did not make the finals or win a championship without Jordan either, just to show you that i can make ridiculous non-sequitur statements too. that's not what we are discussing or what Max was even saying. he was just saying that MJ only had one All-Star on his team for all 6 chips, and you even admitted that the other players on the team, while good at playing their role, were not in-fact All-Stars as well. that is all.

LeBron has lost in the Finals to a Spurs team with Duncan, Parker, and Ginobli twice, and they had Kawhi the second time. And, he's lost to the Warriors twice, the second time when they had Kevin Durant. Michael never ever played against teams that were as good as these.

    Jordan’s era was just totally different man. The talent level was totally different. Jordan was the only dude with his talent and skill level. Now the league is full of athletically gifted, skilled and talented freaks of nature. The game was different. Jordan’s Bulls teams would have a tougher time competing in today’s NBA. Yes, the great ones can be great in any era and Jordan would get his, but today’s game would create all kinds of matchup issues for yesterday’s players. Guys in that era were usually known for being good at ONE aspect of the game (ie. A “dunker”, a “rebounder”, a “bruiser”, a “defender”, a “shot-blocker”, a “scorer”, a “passer”). Now these guys are doing multiple things in ways we’ve never seen before.

Lebron had to learn to play off the ball (which is something he never did before) in order to make things work with D-Wade AND Kyrie. He also had to develop a post-game. He also had to embrace playing the PF position when he didn't want to. He also had to defend the opposing teams best player in crunch time....EVEN when they were PGs or Centers. Also, Stephen A asked the question as if other players didn't have to sacrifice to play with Jordan. Max and Stephen A exemplify perfectly how irrational and delusional Jordan lovers are. You can't have a reasonable debate with Jordan lovers if you prefer anybody over Jordan for anything. It's f**king ridiculous.

    Jordan had to sacrifice his style of play from '84 to '89 (most dominant version of MJ) to play in Phil's system and Tex Winter's Triangle Offense. Tex was the one who invented the triangle offense and Phil was the "conductor" (like an orchestra) to execute it. MJ can play any system and under any coach, just ask Doug Collins, Phil Jackson, Dean Smith, and other coaches who he played against or played with in All Star games. Jordan was the perfect competitor and student of the game, he evolved his game throughout his career, perhaps the only one to truly do that. But Phil was never the legendary coach before coaching Jordan and winning the first 3-peat. Phil did not get Chicago the championship in 94 and 95, in which Rudy T of the Rockets won with Olajuwon. Phil never won in LA with only Kobe as a superstar, he needed to have Shaq and Pau Gasol.

    Anthony Moore, perhaps if lebron didn’t kill his coaches, aka allow himself to be coached better coaches would wanna coach him. Why would a great coach go where a man can coach the team to the finals have two all stars go down still compete thanks to the best player on the team and get fired. Blatt isn’t in nba because he tried to coach lebron.

    T-Mac, how you gonna say MJ doesn't make his teammates better. Jordan's first 3-Peat Jordan, Pippen, and a bunch of role players. 2nd 3-Peat Jordan, Pippen, and Rodman(who wasnt a scorer), and a bunch of role players. James when he left for Miami had Wade, Bosh, Battier, Allen, and other high rated players. James back at Cleveland, had Kyrie, Love, J.R. Smith, etc. James has always played with higher rated rosters than Jordan did. Here are some role players Jordan played with B.J Armstrong, Craig Hodges, Cliff Levingston, Dennis Hopson, Randy Brown, Jud Buechler, Dickey Simpkins, Jason Caffey. Here are some role players from Lebrons title years Shane Battier, Mario Chalmers, Udonis Haslem, Mike Miller, Ray Allen, Chris Andersen, Rashard Lewis, Channing Frye, Richard Jefferson, Iman Shumpert, Mo Williams. Jordan 6 for 6 in NBA Championships Lebron is what 3 for 8.

  • @matthewrobinson4156

    @matthewrobinson4156

    Stupidly biased list of role players Jordan had. Conveniently forgot to mention: Steve Kerr, Tony Kukoc, Horace Grant, NBA All-Defensive Player and 7x Rebounding Champion (who you just disregarded as some average player) Dennis Rodman, Phil Jackson as one of the all-time great coaches and of course top 50 all-time (8x Defensive First Team) Scottie Pippen. 72-10 team had no role players? Look up 2007 Cavs that Lebron got to the Finals vs the Spurs. The 2010 Cavs had a record of 61-21 after Lebron left they were 19-63, that's called making a team better.

  • @2340mystroe

    @2340mystroe

    6 жыл бұрын

    Matt Robinson even adding those, Lebron still had higher rated role players. Kerr, will be remembered for one shot, he wasn't a scorer., Horace Grant is in the same group as Rodman. Kukoc was a decent player. So Kukoc and Battier cancel each other out. With the teams Lebron has had, he should be 8 for 8.

    "James has always played with higher rated rosters than Jordan did." James went to the FINALS with Mo Williams as his second best player. In 2015, Love AND Kyrie were injured. LeBron took a team to the Finals where Matthew Dellavedova was the next best player. Jordan NEVER ONCE got to .500 without another Hall of Famer. He played 11 playoff games without Pippen. He was 1-10 in those games. You REALLY think there is a comparison?

    Jordan is a better competitor than lebron its "mind over matter". I like lebrons game better for a team sport but I do believe Jordan was a better competitor and winner than lebron because his competitive drive plus game pushed him to a level most players can't hit. Lebron has the most God given talent plus basketball IQ but does not have the same competitive will that Jordan had it's not a knock it's just what it is. Lebron is a general he wants to win as a team whereas Jordan is a assassin he does most of the work himself to win.

The way I see it, lebron would not sacrifice for you. he usually is more effective when he has the ball,which also means You(tmac) would probably be 2nd. with that being said. if you wanted to win, which of the both would you rather defer to? @@daddydaddysititobadang6947 doesn't matter. Two snakes, just different shades. If KD wins a chip on a different team, he'll be on the same level. Both are 🐍. LeBron's Miami team with D'wade was a stacked team

    Here's the worst part, LeFraud joined stacked teams and failed miserably!! Got his ass whipped by the Mavs the 1st year and Ray Allen saved him. At least KD took care of business immediately. Unfortunately he got hurt on the 3rd rodeo..
