    glcsander NO.. you’re hearing what you want to hear. he DID NOT specifically address opioids.. he changed the subject to back to weed and “The rules”. What Matt is touching on is what they have in place within “The Rules” is far more dangerous and hurtful to the player mental and physical health. SAS wouldn’t dare touch that subject and upset the powers that pay him. That’s exactly why he immediately steered back towards his “rules” argument.

  • @marticehasty2837

    @marticehasty2837

    4 жыл бұрын

    S E2333 not sure what else you would expect SAS to say. he didn’t specifically address opioids because his sole argument is on keeping guys paid by abiding by the league rules that are currently in place. When Matt made the point about opioids SAS clearly said it was a very smart, sound argument. He even used the word “wrong” to describe the league rules. He then said it was take much time to get those rules changed. But again his overall point was that while you’re in the league u have to follow their rules or risk losing your career/money. Could he be a stronger advocate for changing such rules? Sure. We all know when we start getting into the topic of health, opioids/prescription drugs, big pharma, etc it goes way beyond nba or nfl rules anyway.

  • @Se0420_

    @Se0420_

    4 жыл бұрын

    Martice Hasty you really just made my point for me. when SAS said “that was a very smart and sound argument” and immediately proceeded to NOT engage in the opioid conversation. That showed he was a fraud. What he did was Give Matt a personal compliment then switched the subject. Politicians do it all the time, pay attention! .... Matt specifically said. “They are pumping us full of opioids” SAS changed it back to “The rules”.. we know the rules... no shit! Matt was saying.. let’s talk about what THEY are doing to us. They are turning guys into addicts to get them on the court/Field. But will punish you for smoking weed. SAS won’t even let the word Opioid come out his mouth. So much for a guy who stakes his reputation on not backing down from uncomfortable conversations. And since when do guys need SAS help keep them paid or give them advice on keeping them paid?? Players know the damn rules! He ain’t preaching some information that was unknown to them. Guys who smoke weed are going to smoke it. That’s their choice. He’s a fraud. And if you notice. Matt really just stopped talking after that part. Really kind just went on auto pilot on SAS because he gave him straight BS. Matt Barnes the type of guy who has zero tolerance for bullshit. SAS fed him straight bullshit on that subject.

    Mega Traum here’s the thing that you’re forgetting but pointed it out While yes the same could be said about anything The overarching point is-it’s that simple and the simple things often become the most complicated ones to handle Bc some ppl over complicate it And to be fair he comes off more as someone wise than an Uncle Tom. Listen to what Jackson said “I put on a suit and that gave a 4 year career with ESPN” after SAS told him to put a suit on after the guy’s first appearance. This applies to white guys too because it’s all about how your employer/boss sees you. How they want the company workers to dress and etc. is their choice. You aren’t gonna get your money by following your own rules. If we could get money doing nothing then many folks wouldn’t be working and follow their own rules but that’s not how society works. You work for someone to get paid (including yourself if you’re an entrepreneur or owner) and that person sets the rules. If you break those rules they have a right to reduce your pay. You could be the smartest person in the room but only u would know if u don’t follow the rules given to u.

But when this virus came and all the lockdown and sht it amplifies my anxiety so i just stopped. Been sober for almost a month and a half now never though i can do it but im happy with it now. Its good if its empower you to some ways but if its in the negative dont do it or stop it.

    I used to smoke so much more than I needed to and I always told myself it wasn’t a problem. I’d smoke 6 or 7 sometimes 8 blunts a day. I’d smoke when I woke up, on the way to work or on the way to get rillos, on my lunch break, on the way home and when I got home I’d smoke like it wasn’t no tomorrow. I finally slowed down smoking like that and then I just quit and I feel a lot better. It took me forever to kick that shit but I can think so much more clearly now and I don’t get mad when I can’t smoke and I don’t overreact to petty shit. Weed is good but in moderation only. I used to feel like “damn I need a blunt” or when I’d be stressed I’d tell myself I’d smoke and I’d be straight but I finally realized I don’t need that shit to be straight.
