Indeed he did..And, he was praised for it as some kind of genius...They said no one worked the portal like him. Many black people made it racial and said the white coaches were jealous cause HE was misusing the system...Many people said that a lot of the top players would be coming to Colorado to play for "Coach Prime"...All this before one snap of the ball, all this before one game was played. Now, I'm not hating, these are the FACTS...Some folk call you a hater when you point out the facts...If the facts are pro Deion, you're ok, if not you're a hater. Why can't we just call it like it is? The 4 games they won were against teams that are not very good. TCU is 5-6, Nebraska is 5-6, Colorado State, who took you to 2 OT's and had 166 yards in penalties is 5-6 and Arizona State is 3-8...Somehow, someway people are trying to make this impressive..Stop it..Lets just call it what it is...The Cinderella" story stopped with Oregon like their coach said...

Colorado could look at this season as positive if they would have won the last 4 games, not the first 4. Zero improvement overtime. All teams adjusted, some at half time (Stanford) and exploited weaknesses in coaching. Great talent is not all. Ask New York Nets about the all star team they had but failed to go anywhere. Shedeur is ok, Travis is holding his own. Lineman are needed but a good coach make that work.

Steven A is partially right. I’m from the State of Colorado originally. I’ve been living in Louisa a for that past 20 years. I’ve spent ALOT of time in Boulder, and he’s right. The culture in Boulder is weird. The state does not provide a major recruiting bed for lineman etc. it’s hard to recruit and keep players there. But I also am not convinced Deion is a legit coach. PAC12 is NOT the SWAC. Big12 is NOT the SWAC. And let’s face it, if it weren’t for his sons he wouldn’t have won those SWAC championships the past couple years and he wouldn’t have won ONE game this season. If you want to make Deion put to be a great recruiter for recruiting his sons fine! But I’ve seen his lack of coaching abilities this season. No attention to he O-line and D-interior. He could have kept a lot of the players from last season to. provide depth. and there were a couple guys in the front 7 that would have been starting. They would have had a much better rotation and a lot more size up front. But no. The man thinks he’s coaching in a 7 on 7 league. You may be able to win with a QB and some over gloried receivers in HBCU but that ain’t going to cut in The PAC12! He’s hasn’t recruited anyone and recruits are flipping like fish out Of water! He’s way over his head. And his game preparation and game planning is terrible!!!!

The Buffs from the top with Coach Sanders have got to come to grips with the old Urban saying, 'what makes you laugh can make you cry.' Coach Deion often says during their rough patch this year, "this is hard, I'm not used to losing." But then who said life is always going to be a carbon-copy of one's past? In life the poo-poo principle takes place. That is...poo-poo happens! Yes, life can turn on a dime, folks. Even the Good Book says, "for thou knowest not what a day brings forth." And please dispense with the ole "they are haters" routine when folk don't worship or idolize the product, your players or coaches, or even the culture the Buffs program is displaying both on and off the field in terms of the hype they've been selling from the start with Mr. Sanders' regime @ C.U. I see no reason to call him Coach "Prime" either as why is he the only coach in College sports (I'm aware of) who wants to be addressed by a lofty, flattering title such as that? Hmm? Nick Saban is called Coach Saban. Kirby Smart is known as Coach Smart, etc., etc., etc. Just for starters, is there not something a bit strange about that whole picture? Hey ya'll, I'm not hatin', just askin'? Gabriel Savant

Yet here you are obsessed, watching the games and the commercials. Guess that Prime Affect is working. Why you white men so worried about the celebrities, the sidelines, the sunglasses , the cars and the jewelry. Is it because this man has it all? He's a celebrity himself so his friends are apart if his life and they support him. Deion didn't just start being this way, this has been since he was in college till now. This is not a distraction, if anything it's showing these players that they can achieve the same. He already knows that at least 90 percent of these kids not going to make it to the NFL, so he's preparing them for life after college as well. The jealousy is real and so is the hatred. Let's start to get real. His teams improved so drastically because of his recruiting powers bringing in better talent. But not because he's not a great coach. As evidenced by what we're seeing. Most super-talented/athletic former players make horrible coaches, because their players are not them. MJ would make a horrible coach. It's the grinder role players who typically do much better as coaches.

This is the huge difference in Michigan Wolverines defense as well. I respect Don Brown but he wanted nothing but speed on the defensive side of the ball. To have speed meant he wanted our guts to be 15-50 lbs lighter than the average at certain positions. Those days the D line was getting throttled backwards and tripping over their linebackers. It was horrible when they okayed the big dogs like Ohio St.. That’s the difference now, they have fat hogs and rinos on the line for both sides of the ball, fast backs and quick corners..

Nah, you're wrong. This team has no disciplined. This is a lost team with a lost coach. Put him as the head coach of Georgia, Alabama, Michigan,Clemson or Ohio State. Any of these programs would quickly erode with Deion at the helm. The offense was all designed to show off his son Sheduer. Most teams gradually improve as a season goes on, this team regressed. If he needs " more days" as you do eloquently expressed, then how did they beat TCU, Nebraska, Colorado State. These have always been very respected college football programs. Nope, the problem is not the players, it's the coach. No discipline, arrogance and flash without the work ethic to get better spells disaster.

Stephen A. Smith is wrong. If you’re a good coach you can win anywhere. That is a fact. I know this because I was a freshman at CU in 1990 the last time we won a national championship. Bill McCarthy was the coach back then and he inherited a Colorado program that was in far worse shape than what Coach Prime took over. In his first year CU finished 2 - 8, but he turned the program around into a powerhouse winning a championship and having one of his players Rashawn Salaam winning the Heisman trophy. If Bill McCarthy turned a 2 - 8 team around into a champion at Colorado then there is no reason why Sanders cannot do it either. Unless of course Sanders is not as good a coach as he was a player. So far he has yet to prove himself as a good coach. He has not won anything. Yet.
