Stephanie J. Block co-starred with Jason Alexander in the 2010 L.A. Reprise production of the 1979 Broadway hit "They're Playing Our Song." "Working It Out"; "If He Really Knew Me" (3:24); title song (4:45); "Just for Today" (6:16), and "If You Remember Me"(9:04), the latter replacing "I Still Believe in Love" in this production.

I saw this show. The whole cast was WONDERFUL.
This band sounds genuinely excited. Such a gift.
They should have done a Broadway revival with this pairing.

One of my favorite scores. It's as if it was written for Stephanie, her voice is so perfect for this role.

Stephanie's voice is, indescribable, her vocal performance is even more gut-wrenchingly emotional in This performance of "If You Remember Me" than in another video of just the song "If You Remember Me" but I DO STILL love the other rendition of this same song, they're both done so well🙆♀️💓👏

Refreshing to see this -- so beat up in revivals and alternate casts. Jason Alexander -- who started in musical theatre -- , blows this out of the water. Stephanie Block also puts unleaded energy into this part.

Since I got to see the original cast with Robert Klein and Lucy Arnez I always compare all the others to them no matter how many times I go see this play some were good and some not so good but Jason and Stephanie were amazing , great job !!!

import26 Interesting and fun. However I’m not sure MB has the manic personality to play Vernon, who’s a complete jump out and in your face character. Maybe another concert version would work. Not sure any producer would take a chance on a full blown production of this show right now.

My only squick is that “I still believe in love” is a better song and I SO wish Stephanie could have had the chance to sing that is this production. But she SLAYSSS.

Agreed, very surprising that they would drop "I Still Believe in Love," but "If You Remember Me" does get better when you've heard it a few times.

this_Joe_Smith Stephanie and Jason were absolutely lovely but the rest of the production was a nightmare. From first read through to opening night was slightly less than 1 month. The entire process was crammed into a single month. Costumes, sets, lighting, sound, rehearsals all done in 25 days. I can even begin to explain how stressful it is to try and pull off a production with only 1 month of prep. I was 25 when I did this show, too young for gray hairs, by closing night I had found 5 that weren’t there previously.

@@33SpookyNerd Just over 3 weeks to put an Entire musical theater production together, ! I Can Only imagine how stressful that was. From what I've seen here though Stephanie put on an Absolutely Stellar performance.

I was thinking the same thing, as "I Still Believe in Love" is such a great number and "If You Remember Me" had previously been used in another movie. It seems the switch does a disservice to the scene. Just my opinion though.

The vocals are obviously phenomenal, because these are amazing performers. Unfortunately, "Working It Out" just doesn't sound right in this key.
Wow, I have never seen two actors not match this much, in talent or visually. What were they thinking?
