I think the only thing you can do to “guard” him is to force him to score in the paint. He’ll probably make every layup, but at least he’s shooting 2s instead of 3s.

You can't force him to score on the paint without a double team. If you bring the double, he's finding the open man Everytime, which is usually a shooter

Stephen curry is the reason I got interested in learning about the fundamentals of basketball. Was completely clueless and forced to follow the Lakers by both of my parents but when I got old enough to pick my own team was around the same time Steph got drafted and I’ve loved the game ever since.

To me Curry will always be the most fun and entertaining player to watch. I dont care if some people think that lebron is the goat, he's got strength and the athletics but I just dont care about that in terms of watchablitiy, for me artists like curry are always my favorite type to watch

When I was around 6 years old, I watched a team called the Golden State Warriors and a man named Steph Curry win the championship. Ever since then, I've always idolized Steph and always practiced my 3 point shooting. My practice paid off and I was able to shoot 3 pointers, mid rangers and layups at my school. Steph Curry is my idol forever

He is unreal. Some fans don't realize Curry (through The Warriors) has almost single handedly changed the way the game is played. There are far more 3 point shots taken by all teams and players of all positions, even 4 and 5's, than there were before Curry came up. You have to start defending Curry at the logo... LoL Curry's impact on the game is arguably as big as Jordan's, albeit in a different way.

the dude is so used to being heavily guarded, he misses more wide open threes than contested threes

I wouldn't say the most unguardable nba player ever. Although, I do think Steph is one of the hardest players to guard ever. You have to consider KD, MJ, etc.

KD is a great player. But when he came to the Dubs, he had to re-learn to do the lay up. He used to palm the ball with one hand, and defense guarding him would just knock the ball out of his hand. Then he learned to hold the ball with both hands, and move the ball from side to side, before laying it up.

Curry is the most influential players ever first MJ then curry and he changed the game for good.

There is a reason Kareem Abdul Jabbar has the NBA career scoring record. His Sky Hook was the most unguardable shot in basketball history. It always amazes me that no one else has attempted to perfect the shot and own the modern NBA with a Sky Hook. I believe it is a tribute to Kareem's unbelievable athleticism that he has been the only one to do so. Curry may own the distance shot, but Kareem owned the basket.

That was because all player back then are either a plumber, construction workers basically people who they hire to play a night. Skyhook only works for tall people, and the iq of today's basketball would render the sky hook useless.

KD is more unguardable as an individual scorer, but curry makes the whole team unguardable. Curry is guardable, nick nurse has shown us that several times. But the only way to guard him is to NOT guard his teammates

Two other recent candidates: 1. Shaq was unguardable 2. KD is pretty much unguardable. Those two and Curry are pretty much unstoppable on offense. They may have a bad game or 2 there no defense that can legitimately hold these legends down.

Would be more in his favor now, but it is also undeniable that the athletes today are better : balancing act…. You got more than a few “Centers” today that can pop out and easily guard a 2 (not all) and with basketball being more positionless than ever, the amount of athleticism on the court is significantly greater… still think MJ gets his numbers but it won’t be some astronomical difference.

@@dnevs79 respectfully disagree and here is my reasoning 1. He was putting up 32 q game when hand checking was allowed. That gave an advantage to the defense 2. The number of tickets tack fouls today would all but guarantee more free throws. 3. The social media of today would drive him into a constant state of rage. Hell I'm a Jordan fan and I would purposely send him messages about how xxx was better, just to piss him off

@@nathanmckenzie904 the rule changes is why I say he would maintain around the same level of scoring. The rule was created increase pace and give the guard more freedom…I agree. However I feel like there are more athletes than in MJs time that neutralize this rule change. If we normalize the 3pt shot across era I bet you’ll find this era is pretty tough defensively. Defensive rating alone will not tell the story because of the proliferation of th 3 pt shot. Opinion. MJs era along with Kobe’s are my favorite because that is where I watched most of my ball so i understand what u are saying.

Shaq is hackable. KD is a great all around player. But look at how often KD is double teamed, and how often Curry is; and there's your answer. When a game is tied, 5 seconds left, and you must put up two points, I'd say in that situation Lebron in his prime is unstoppable; but not KD.
