Tbh, I think we should trade klay. Think about it, this is probably klays last year of averaging a 20 ppg and efficiency and even that he’s struggling at doing. If we trade him for a young guy, at least we can prioritize curry’s prime. That young guy could be good for the next 5 years, klay is probably gonna be good for 1 maybe 2 years. I think we should keep draymomd though because his chemistry with curry is too great. Also I don’t think there is no trade market for klay. I think young teams would want a veteran guy who can shoot.

Regarding KD, he was only signing one year + a player option deal, meaning after every season he could've left in free agency. In other words, He wasn't planning on being there long because If he were, he would've signed a multi year contract. As far as Poole goes, if he had balled out, and leveled up his game, there's zero chance the Dubs trade him. Unfortunately he didn't and in Washington he's shown himself to be the same player as he was last season: wildly inconsistent, incredibly inefficient and immature both in game and attitude. Dubs got a good year out of him though.

It might be time to trade Wiggins. It’s not really about getting another player back, it’s more about getting off his contract. At this point, I don’t see how he fits in with this team this season and the young guys are more than enough for us to win. With Wiggins gone, Moody or Podz can start, TJD can be our starting C, and we would have CP3, Sauric, GPII & JK coming off the bench. A 9 man rotation with the addition of Looney if we need him. Like Kerr said, it’s hard to play all these players and give them all good mins. Wiggins is kind of in the way of these young guys getting better and helping us win. Lavine, Markkenan, & Siakam wouldn’t make us any better and we would have to give up a lot for just one of them. It’s not worth it in my eyes. I believe in our core 3 with Steph, Klay & Dray. I believe in our young guys with Moody, JK, Podz & TJD. CP3 & Sauric we’re great additions to the team and we all know what GPII can do. Playing these 9 players and Looney in games where we need that extra big man is enough.

For me, as a fan, the real move they have to make is the buyout. They just need to shuffle the starters. Green should be benched and replaced with Saric. Saric, Kuminga, Wiggs, Klay, and Curry. 2nd unit Cp3,Podz, Moody, Green, TJD. Loons or Gp2 can be inserted anytime he is healthy.

  • @RHC_NYC

I think Dray can go. He's becoming a liability, and if they trade for a big man, it can fill the gap. If Klay and Wiggs can step up, cool. If not, they have to accept the bench. I don't see CP3 truly really offering enough to have to stay, and I do notice that when Kerr has Klay playing with the bench, he seems to do well, and the young bench have a veteran to lead them. Podz is cookin'. JK and Moody are showing their real potential. I'm hanging in there. Fingers crossed.

… You will need a veteran DPOY type player to replace him (Draymond) and you won’t have the chemistry… basically this can’t happen, so in essence, Draymond IS irreplaceable, and the Warriors defense is much much worse without Draymond… just like how the Warriors offense is much much worse without Steph.

I dont think a trade would improve them tbh, I think its just about time to utilize the pieces they already have and include the youngsters in the rotation, why? its because the vets should not be hankering to keep playing heavy minutes with these regular season games, the young guys need to play the bulk of the regular season and have the vets come in spot minutes, its time to use the energy of these young guys and start playing the vets in games that matter. Time to put those giant vet egos aside and get the youngsters involved. I think they are just scared of creating another JP, but with CP3 to herd the youngsters that youthful energy may be put to good use in the regular season games.

*Conspiracy theory* Following the injuries to Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson in the Finals, the Warriors recognized their core was aging and needed to be strategically rested for large parts of the regular season to maximize their championship window. In a playoff series, healthy and rested superstars are far more valuable than home court advantage. This strategy paid off in their most recent championship season - Steph, Draymond, and Klay each missed significant parts of the season and played their first game all together in the playoffs, and their fresh legs carried them across the finish line. Last season, Wiggins had a long absence. This year, Draymond earned an indefinite suspension. They figured out how to achieve load management without running afoul of league rules or alienating their fans. As long as the team can get into a playoff spot and reunite the core lineup in time for another championship run, the rest doesn't really matter.

Shoot, anybody can sit there and make hypothetical trades that seemingly adds up to 100. But once you put on the thinking cap you start to look around and you see the road to the championship rounds are littered with teams that on paper ruled! There are so many failed Big 3's that I can't even begin to name them. No, what you need are players that have won before and knows exactly what it takes. These players also have to buy in to the coaching scheme. People panic too much before even February rolls around. Give this team time for Kerr to figure out what chess pieces he's going to use because unlike other teams, he has a whole lot of multiple workable line-ups to use. Don't go trading away players who have multiple rings for your franchise based on 30+ games. That's insane!

If Dray can't get his sh!t Together. I SAY TRADE HIM! He doesn't deserve Loyalty by costing us chips. You CAN find a Draymond type player that doesn't get ejected every couple of games.

ALL DUE RESPECT SCURRY NEVER ASK FOR MANAGEMENT POWER LIKE LJAMES SO HE DOESNT HAVE A SAY ON THAT HE WAS INFORMED BY GSW THAT THEY ARE BRINGING KD BACK THEN HE WAS TOLD TO FETCH KD AND NOT ASK HIS OPINION OR DECISION ABOUT IT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SCURRY AND THAT SELF PROCLAIM

The problem is that Curry has 4 rings already. One more champion without Klay or Dremond would be tasteless for #30

At this point. I dont want to see the 3 core to be playing elseware others but the GSW. Ride it get the young core develop. The amount of publicity is there when they are in thebsame team.

Have to look at who is really available for trade. CP could be traded and no Warriors fan would care. Can't touch the core three. The youngsters are pretty well established and fans would protest if Podz, Moody, JK, or TJD went anywhere. So, the Warriors have CP, Garuba, Joseph, and some two way players to negotiate with. Not going to get them very far.

Why the proposed trade to the Lakers for Draymond. Despite his antic, dude has an amazing Basketball IQ. Why would Curry give that up to help the Lakers? I would up Corey Joseph for a athletic wing or rim protection.

I think we need to start reevaluating what an NBA players prime is..... At the same time think about the years they will play when there the second or third best on a NBA team.... I give Steph 4-5 years depending on how the young core development goes, LeBron will play until he's 43,44, KD will always score so I'm giving him 5 years easy of being effective before we actually start to see a decline and honestly these players are good enough to impact a championship team at a declining rate of we ever see them actually decline like old players

Play the kids more. The Warriors are being punked because they're getting predictable and losing their athleticism. Once the opposing starters are tired, the bench can beat them up further while fresh. That's why Wiggins from the bench works and Klay doesn't tire easily on this defensive assignments with Kuminga and Podziemski on the floor.

They are barley losing games with the starters playing bad, Give them time to work it out because it matters how they play at the end of the season.

I think they’d let go of Draymond before Klay. I agree with this, as Draymond’s been a real drag on and off the court.
