Wanted to address some questions that many people had: 1. Why are you wearing cheer uniforms? My school was a catholic all girl school. The other catholic high schools we competed against had similar uniforms. We did have a step team shirt with black pants that we wore during pep rally’s and occasionally home basketball games. 2. Why are you throwing up the delta sign? While yes, we do throw up the delta sign, that was our way of ending the routine. Other high schools have different ways of ending a routine. For example, one school we competed against, St Edmunds, crosses their arms in a W like shape when ending a routine. However, other schools also throw up the delta signal. Hey I can answer this for you since I was on this team and performed in the video, during prep rally we wore other things we had a shirt and tights, but for competition, this is how our uniform was, if you looked at all the schools that competed in CHSAA, this is how our uniform was. For the second question, we were not throwing shade on the delta sign. This was our diamond, every school had something as you mention St. Edmund, one of the schools I competed against had there hands crossed, every school had something different. Sometimes it wasn’t perfect but we always had our thumbs pointed downward because we are aware it was VERY similar to the delta sign.

Throwing up an organizations sign is disrespectful and whomever taught the routine should have known better. Plus, it was thrown up multiple times, so no, you did not use it to end the routine. I hope the team does better in the future.

Step is so underrated, I was in my schools step team and I loved it, it’s great and it may look easy but sometimes it’s difficult to get the moves and synchronize with your team members

You have to have lots of coordination and strong legs. 2. An average person can't make step look as easy and clean and effortless as someone who knows how to step professionally. 3. Stepping that hard will hurt the average person. Seperate actual logic and your racism.

Love the uniforms.. we had boys on our team and didn’t want them to dress in cheer like outfits since we wanted to intimidate others.. plus a male coach

Let's me help you young folks into something so you guys will learn something. You guys looking too much into things. These girls step for their school and anyone can pick these girls to do a step show for them. You guys more into the signs their doing instead of enjoying the show. I went to a step show a few years back all high schools were doing this but they had wear their on type of gear. These students get scholarships for stepping and get to step in the sorority once they reach college which looks good for them. One thing you young folks do too much is too much hate and knocking one another down. These girls did a great job for what their doing thing. I am proud to see young ladies step like this.

Yo that’s amazing, I know little about stepping but the culture and heritage around it is huge and seeing those girls doing it so fiercely with such diverse ethnicity is wonderful! Keep going girls you’ve got a fan from France !

Step Team was the only thing I actually looked forward to in my pep rallys cuz they were so epic. Kinda wish I wasn't so shy back then to try it

This is a catholic school in nyc (shut down last year) I went to a catholic school also not far from there and the uniform is the same just purple and white, I guess it's just a catholic school thing

Must give props because these are high school girls but perform like a real college sorority

Ok, speaking as a white woman who grew up in predominantly black areas,I used to live going to cafe's to dance. Had a guy once say"you dance like a black girl", and my best friend (who was Creole) said no, she dances like a white girl with rhythm and soul. That's what I noticed most here. Aniya R it is. Lemme pyo real quick the triangle in Greek Life is used by the Deltas. Founded January 13, 1913 this has been the symbol used. So when used in the “step world” it should only be done by girls who have pledged to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. However, they are kids who are most likely uneducated and have yet learned about Greek Culture and History. So there’s a quick lesson for you !

I've never seen a step team with such uniforms. Most wear t shirts and shorts or t shirts and sweat pants to move better. Nice outfits though.

Dejia they look similar but they’re not the same. But my uniform is a shirt with my name on it, and the logo with black pants ( only when we preform at school) but when we go to competitions we wear something that matches the theme of our routine
