Here's a 2 in 1 tutorial on how to make some cute, little spooky frogs this fall! This amigurumi tutorial uses both chunky blanket (size 6) yarn and worsted weight (size 4) yarn. Choose to make a pumpkin frog, a zombie frog, or both! They're super quick and easy to make!

This Tutorial Covers:
-Recommended Materials 0:25
*fabric scissors
*yarn needle
*a stitch marker
*polyester fiber fill
*7 mm hook
*#6 super bulky blanket yarn (in orange and brown OR green)
*#4 worsted weight yarn (in black and red/green)
*12 mm safety eyes (*Safety eyes can be CHOKING HAZARDS. They are NOT recommended for plushies made for young children etc*)
*Additional Materials (for the pumpkin frog): 3.5 mm hook, 6 mm hook, smaller yarn needles (for size 4 worsted weight yarn)

I have a question since I’m brand new to all of this. Would it be possible to make this little frog with regular yarn? I would like to practice a little bit, but my question is what size hook would I use if I were using regular yarn?

You can make it with #4 worsted weight yarn but it will come out really small (given how small this plushie already is) and may be a little more difficult to make in some parts due to the size. The vine for the pumpkin frog and red markings on the zombie frog will also be proportionally alot larger if you use the same type of yarn for those and the body. I personally like to use a 3.25mm or 3.5 mm hook for #4 worsted weight yarn, but hook size really depends on your preference so you can probably go a little larger or smaller. Generally for plushies, you do want to size down from the hook size on the yarn label since that hook size is usually meant for blankets etc and for plushies, you want tighter stitches for less holes.
