I’ve achieved the exact same effect in three steps.

Very nice job with the paint, especially the salt paint weathering. Really found the Maskol technique helpful duplicating those panel touch ups. Will steal that idea for sure! Thanks.

The painting was excellent......I would be careful with a full cup of paint and quick movements across the surface. You wouldn’t want to splash a large drop on your project. 👍🏼

I have done it myself! Very frustrating.

Another question between the first adding and removing of the salt there's a dark shade that's put on it but there's no percentages of each paint color you use" do you just mix it till it looks right?

AlaskaRailroadguy exactly my friend you are right I just go by eye. I have a scrap model on the side that i try ratios before I commit to the model

I wanted to ask at the first stage(11:15) of applying the filter with salt, did you use the base color + black, and in the second stage(13:25) the base color and white?

Εξαιρετικό αποτέλεσμα! Μια ερώτηση μόνο, όταν αφαιρείς το αλάτι με τη βούρτσα που είναι λίγο υγρή, δεν αφαιρείς και λίγο από το χρώμα, αφού έβαψες με ακρυλικά;

gmtxrsts φίλε μου σε ευχαριστώ Όχι δεν φεύγει το χρώμα γιατί υπάρχει το νερό και δεν ασκώ μεγάλη πίεση με την βούρτσα. Μην ξεχνάς ότι δεν είναι απλά ακρυλικά χρώματα που φεύγουν με νερο

does anyone know if the salt weathering technique (7:26) can be used on top of a straight enamel base coat, using MicroMask?

Peri's Models it's a brand of liquid mask that functions like Maskol but it's made in America and I hear it behaves a little differently
