Congratulations!
Excellent video, love how you explained step 6, also, did not understand steps 6 & 7 even after redoing the steps. Then I heard a woman do a step 6 chair and everything fell into place, I now understand the word 'remove' means not just 'get rid of' but also 'to distance myself from' - For example; if I am moving house, I hire a removal van to transport my furniture from my old house to my new home. When I spot that one of defects is activated, I ask God to help me remove my defect. I can't rely on God alone, I must take action and remove myself physically from "people, places and things" STEP 7-I obtain humility and ask God to remove my shortcomings

Congrats on your 7 months and good luck with 6 and 7. The book Drop the Rock is a great resource for Steps 6 and 7.
Would love you to listen to Dr.Bobs last speech when he was dying and knew he only had 2 months to live. He pleads with us to keep this simple and not louse this up with Freudian complexities. Keep it simple sweetheart. Ed. Ireland

Hi Lele! Congrats on your 7 months. That's wonderful!! Glad you found the video to be helpful.
Right on! What I exposed in my Fifth step in early sobriety is still being shown to me years and years later. What happens is that I become more awari become more aware later in God,s time to identify a deep rooted character defect. I sure couldn’t handle everything at one. I say the seventh step prayers morning and bam ! Thirty years later I arrive at a more acute understanding of something. Slowly but surely... good stuff. Thanks

It after watching your videos I feel more confident, but my situation,. Do you? I know it's probably dumb question cuz I know it's probably dumb question cuz you super interesting I've been cleaning for six months in the icy life in a different way but I'm waiting to go in deep her about my recovery.

Glad it was helpful, April!
First time i really think i got what step 6 means was in aa meeting, just before i started to made my 4th step. I had a lot of antipathy toward God. Suddenly i just realized that i've been used God to mask my own insecurities, and that i can really just accept everything how it really is.... This led to so called ego death, i started crying because i was so happy. That was hands down, the best experience i have ever had in my life. Only lasted about 2weeks, but it was a really wild ride when i could just be, well, me. Without any of that harmful social programming or thoughts of how i think i should be to gain acceptance of others This video is pretty much how i have understand these two steps. Sorry about my bad english.

I think we should add to our nightly texts of gratitude lists a defect we could work on but also an asset we have.

Thanks, Greta! That is how I started to see my defects. I made it a part of my inventory every night to look at my shortcomings for the day, and that is when I began to realize the judgement and the gossiping issues 💜

Shame you dont grasp the true meaning of 6 and 7 ie. Let go.....Let God. No room for me to work on defects. Thats Gods job. What i need is TRUST that when I humbly ask God hears and frees me from the bondage of self.
