I used to use Stena Line years ago doing the Newhaven to Dieppe crossing. The best boat was the Londoner, until it hit the dock in Newhaven with my truck still on board. The bow doors were jammed and couldn't get my truck off for almost 2 weeks. They don't do freight traffic out of Newhaven now, as far as I am aware, but when it was active , it was the best.

Maine to Nova Scotia, there is a ferry between those two but only car with exception for bus, The CAT is the name. Then there is pontoon deck barge service as seen in a recent episode or video from Sergei Dratchev from CAN to USA across one of the great lakes to Illinois or Michigan
