You REALLY REALLY are cosplaying the Corpus :D Just need more Robot Armies. I'd love it if you could cosplay any of the other races from Warframe, i'm sure they're possible to recreate in Stellaris. Plus, "We all lift together" would just be a great song for a Solaris themed run. Thank you for all the longform entertainment!

You Liar, you said last one was 1/2 so this one should be 2/2 but noooo No the 1st on is 1/3 I smell Heresy But keep up the good work and I love these vids I would also like to see either a multiplayer run or a Giga engineering or a playthruogh but all of the sliders are to the right ( so 5x hyperlane density, 5x gaia worlds) and for the things without sliders you just put it to the max ( exception is for the mid and end game start year where you do as you please)

I love these playthroughs, every time he plays it's his favourite empire and he just has so much fun.

In regards to your question about trade routes, the best way I found to handle it in the late game is to build a gateway in my capital as well as gateways in as many of my systems with planets as possible because the trade then get collect through the gateway as the capital becomes within one jump of every system with a gateway. If you do this with a couple of stations fully kitted out with hangar bays need a gateway then you can essentially eliminate piracy within your empire since their protection also passes through gateways.

Yeap, *one* trade station to rule them all. I finally tried it in my current game with ~180 systems and it works beautifully. Let's hope with Harark this reaches His emerald lord of the Megachurch yeah.

Also, I had a great run with the Nu-Baul precursors and my favorite thing to do was colonize really good worlds that had low habitability and then transform it into a Gaia world. It allowed for really fast expansion early on.

You don't create vassals... You take a controlling interest!

You should do a Restorers run. Basically your species starts out on a Relic world (tnks to the origin) and are intent on reclaiming their former glory, which means turning their entire empire into city-worlds and ringworlds. Ring worlds provide the food, city worlds provide the advanced materials. The challenge is to turn literally every planet in your empire into a city-world asap while also building enough ring worlds to keep your population well fed (i.e. you must have Nutritional Plentitude active at all times) and ensuring that the empire becomes the most powerful diplomatically and militarily, despite the Crisis appearing in 2300 or earlier.

if you gonna add a mod for your next playthrough i would also recommend, the more events mod, dynamic events mod and origins extended. the don't change the game in any drastic way they just give you more options and a bit more content to play around with. love the stellaris videos and recently gotten back into it myself as your videos are always an inspiration, just when you think you've seen it all, Lathrix comes along and does something so fun and mind blowing it makes me want to pick up and play the game

Honestly it's been a while since I have commented, but these vids are so much more fun to watch than most stellaris content I have watched.

If you have a gateway in a system with a starbase full of strikecrafts, the piracy suppression applies through all the other gateways (and ditto for trade stations), so you really only need one. All hail the magical teleportation thingies!!

Contingency all the way! Because you yourself admitted to it being the hardest several times. And if you're so inclined the mods for endgame crisis then triple spawn is also an option there;)

I love your videos, keep going man, I am addicted to your playthroughs, keep it up, only lots of love watching you conquering the galaxy time and time again :)

Oh god I love how these videos have the habit of turning from part 1 of 2 into part 2 of 3. it's glorious

Once you have Gateways you do not need to have multiple Trade Stations, you can have just 1 for the whole Empire. Trade Value is transmitted through Gateways, but it is also Collected through Gateways (and Wormholes and L-Gate). So if you have a Trade Station with a Gateway it will collect upto 5 hyperlane jumps from ANY Gateway (or 6 if you have the Hyperlane Register). And Yes Trade Protection extends through Gateways as well.

Sounds like the global pacifier was used in the geckos. Sounds like a fun idea to play as. Lath should easily figure out a good empire for that. Imagine making it so everyone must come to your world's or forever stay isolated. Never to enter their empire again.

I think you get the scourge so much it because you don't have the time to build up the modifiers for the other crisis because the game roles the dice so early the chance that the scourge spawns is so much higher than the others

Cruisers are highly effective mid-game stacking disengagement chance. They have good health to fleet power and disengagement. They're the best choice economically for fighting superior foes that *will* take out part of your fleet. By the time your repeatables are so high that nothing can one-shot your battleships and nothing survives to get a second shot the battleships win.

Lath, remember last time when I said the AI usually ethics counters me? Current: 800 galaxy, 24 ai+4FE+2 marauder, gospel fanatic xenophile reg spiritualist corp, 19/24 is some form of materialist or xenophobe or both. That's around the usual average of what I get countered by by the ai.

Just got to the 7:40 mark of the video, but I may just write here because I may forget later: I do love your Stellaris videos, sometimes I do rewatch some full playthrough, probably because they're more action and event packed. It doesn't matter how many parts it is going to be, if it's enjoyable it's ok. Miscalculations happens to everyone, but in this case it's OK because it means extra interesting content about this run ;) EDIT: and now, back to the video.

Ha, have you ever played with the Global Pacifier option for the colossus? Since you love habitats, you should know you CAN build habitats over the society-research generating shielded world. It's VERY satisfying for a Rogue Servitor run, where rather than invading/destroying those that threaten your biotrophies or who refuse your protection, just protecting them from themselves and everyone else...and then building a place where you luxury laden biotrophies and drones can point and laugh at them from orbit.

I'd love to see a contingency fight. the balanced nature of their ships with the distributed nature of the machine worlds makes for one tough endgame crisis. The unbidden would also be interesting. the scourge has been almost anti-climactic the last couple games. pickets and strikecraft just tear them apart.

Gateways are awesome for trade routes, though you do not need so many trade stations. One is enough, either in your home system or next to it if the system has a gateway. The trade hubs range goes through the gateways as well, so you just plop down gateways around and the range of that one station reaches almost everywhere. No more pirates for the most part and more starbases can be set as anchorages instead.

And with the change to Hyperlane Registrar some patches back, the max collection range for a full trade station with the registrar becomes 7.

Definitely interested in seeing more than just Scourge, but don't care which. Just want to see more Stellaris!

Arcology can be constructed in the early game, you just need to do those city district housing upgrades as Anti-grav engineering is a requirement. To construct or repair a ring world you need Mega Engineering, the RW tech or a ruined one. They replace habitats and food worlds rather than forge/industrial worlds. Then wait decades, so building them is possible only in the late game after fully building another Megastructure and taking the perk. These happen too late in the game, you can simply use many mining/research worlds and habitats. I use arcologies often on my homeworld, but it's part of Megacorp DLC, without that you need Fen Habenis or capture the materialist capital. The growth bonus, huge capacity and slot efficiency, makes it very beneficial. If you are sneeky you do Mastery of Nature decision to a smallish forge world adding districts and capacity during the construction or after without having to ever build the districts.

I know it'd be incredibly unlikely, but I would've loved it if you had gotten the Contingency this play through. Just imagine in your own headcannon, an ancient synth intelligence rising up in response to your anti-robot measures upon the galaxy, trying to take control and ensure no more pesky spiritualists try to kill machines again

I think the reason you keep rolling the Scourge is because the endgame is set so early. It's my understanding that the modifiers to determine which crisis you get apply to the whole galaxy and not just the player. So while you might have jump drives or synths, very few if any of the AI empires do. So the counter just times out and then BAM you get the Scourge.
