"It's a rare occasion to get to sing with a full orchestra!" Yes, and not just any orchestra but the leading orchestra in the country, The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and being conducted by the Maestro himself, the very loved national artist, Mr. C.

Mr. C is a living legend in OPM industry. It's a great honor for Stell to sing his song. And Stell did not disappoint. Mr. C commented after Stell's performance that the future of OPM is secured. (non verbatim).

This song is an original composition by the Maestro Ryan C himself over 20 yrs.ago for a popular music icon Basil Valdez released in 2003. Later it was re-arranged for Asia's Songbird Ms. Regine Velasquez during Maestro's 50th.bday celeb. FF 2024, Stell is ❤personally handpicked to deliver this masterpiece in the occassion of The Maestro's 70th.bday. Thank you for making us realize how special Stell is.

Sir Ryan Cayabyab is an officially declared National Artist of the Philippines. Stell being handpicked by the legend himself is such a big deal.

His perf brought the house down. He had the loudest applause. That final note where Stell brought it higher, he said that was not what they rehearsed. He said he took a chance and pulled it off flawlessly. It was cut at the end of this video but Mr C asked the audience “Were you shocked? So goooood!” Maybe bec he knew most of the attendees did not expect that from - in their minds - a member of a relatively unknown Ppop boy group. SB who?? But we A’tin who were there were so proud of Stell, our hearts swelling with pride.

During the curtain call, Stell can be seen at the farthest end of the stage, too shy to mingle with the big stars present, among them Regine and Martin Nievera and theather bigwigs. He was not aware of the impact he created that night. And he carried the name of SB19 as well as he was introduced as Stell of SB19.

Ms Juliet, I'm looking forward to the day (...manifesting...) when Stell will sing the song you made for him as well...

That last part where he went really high (don't know the technical term) was a surprise to Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, and everybody involved in the production who had seen the rehearsals, because Stell, who was conserving his voice, never belted it until during the performance. In a post-con interview he acknowledged that he should've sung it that way during the rehearsal; he was probably trying to see whether he could pull it off. And he did. Magnificently. That's why after Stell walked away, Mr. C addressed the audience in Tagalog, "Were you shocked?" and the audience laughed; he was probably the most surprised that Stell sang it differently. He was visibly impressed with Stell that night. Mr. C added, "So good!" And then he narrated what Ms. Celeste Legaspi, an OPM icon and one of the producers, had told him after she saw and heard sing during the technical rehearsal - "(Sigh)...Celeste told me, 'The future of Philippine music is secured.'"

After his performance..the Musical Legends and Icons present in this concert were all praises for Stell..

Stell sang this song with a female key as Regine Velasquez did and he done it very well many audiences was teary eyed while Stell is singing and I'm one of them, we will wish that Mr. David Foster will notice him if someone will introduce him as his guest...

Ryan Cayabyab is a Filipino Musical ICON and Composer....it is a most difficult song...Ryan specifically chose Stell to sing this in this concert. The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra is the one that accompanied him.

This was Ryan Cayabyab’s 70th birthday. He is such an inspiring national artist for us all and will be sorely missed as he enters the next chapter of his life outside of music. Stell was so honored to sing Mr. C’s song. Great job, Stell! See you this weekend at the end of SB19’s Pagtatag Finale!
