So much to that logic of losing to “good teams” . Just split the series with the mariners shutting them out in game 4. If we didn’t bloop the 9th inning (which happens in baseball) in game 1, we would have won the series .

Did you miss all the times that BT just sat there smiling as sal talked? Example at 11:00. He knows that sal is a clown and he's just letting him run. Sometimes you don't need to argue with someone to call them out, you just let them go because the more they talked the more they expose themselves as a clown. BT doesn't need to push back, Sal exposes himself fine on his own 😂😂🙈🙈

Great point made on Michael Kay Show- Soto making $31 mil this year so only need another $19 mil to reach his 50. Gleyber, Holmes, Nestor, Rizzo, Verdugo and others coming off the books. Even if only half those guys walk their payroll comes down.

Now he gets to show SD Fans what he's like when he's got a whole baseball team built around him and full steam ahead to a world series. HE WANTS TO STAY IN NY. Can you imagine what it's like to be him and have an entire stadium shout your name Everytime you step onto the field? What it's like to have 35,000+ people stand up and cheer for you when you come up to bat? Unfortunately Boras and his love of money stand in the way so we need to play all these bullshit games :/

They're losing Rizzo, Verdugo, Torres, and Holmes. They're already paying Soto 31.5 this season. Losing those 4 players frees up the extra 20 million or so that they need to retain Soto. Dominquez takes over for Verdugo, Judge moves to 1B as he gets older, bullpen arms are a dime a dozen to them, and Torres has been awful this season, so you can have the Perazas and Cabreras of the world fill that spot. Keeping Soto isn't hard.

Prior to Ohtani and Yamamoto, the Dodgers only had Mookie and Freeman signed long term. Everyone else was short term deals or in house players. They also defer some of the salary for these players to lower their tax. They have been fairly cautious on who they give long term contracts to. In general, I think they do a good job at analyzing talent on the FA market and in their farm system.
