Alonso leads the team in doubles and homeruns. He has a 7 game hit streak and has 7 doubles in the past two weeks. He is really batting pretty good right now. Now Lindor that I could see.

Stearns isn't the problem. Judt got here and this is a rebuild with a disgustingly rich owner so spending 45 million on Sevy , JD, Meanae, and Bader is worth a shot. They just aren't good enough. No draft pick comps or long term commitments. Stearns never met Buck, they wanted to tell Buck before the season was over he was getting let go, they couldn't announce Stearns until the WS concluded.

Sterns didn’t have a relationship with buck. Better off letting the gm let buck know sterns is bringing in his own people. That’s how business is handled. Nothing personal.

He spent 340 million to build a starting rotation anchored by two hall-of-farmers and they went nowhere. They did the right thing in selling off. Outside of 2022, they have consistently been an under-500 team. Tommy Pham hit the nail on the head when he said that the core of the team lacked the drive to win. Trade Alonso, McNeil and some of their other valued players for top prospects who can give this team a chance to be great again.

These guys need to be sponsored by Midol because they always sound like they’re having their period. Whining and bitching and moaning about everything.

Sports talk radio: A job for guys that can't do the job of running a team, but love to complain and whine that they could do it all better. As for sports fans they aren't much different. Don't get me wrong, tons of fans live and die with their teams, and there are millions of Mets fans, so they fit into lots of camps. But social media is pretty much saturated with "fans" who love coming into chats to say, "As a long-time fan (wink wink) I think this team stinks, and let me tell you why someone with ten thousand times the experience running a sports franchise knows nothing and I could tell them how, but I won't because this team deserves to be bad and its fans - of which I am one (again wink wink) are deluding themselves if they think anybody that plays for this team isn't trash!"

Buck was not a good manager last year..... plain and simple. The team underperformed last year and doing much the same this year. Im a Mets fan but i don't miss Buck. Honestly....i miss Bobby Valentine and Terry Collins.

what was the reason the Mets let Buck Showalter go? I think he did a fine job as manager but other than that the Mets need to start scoring runs and winning games because if they don't this season will be done before summer starts

Amazing how they are worse without him. The manager has nothing to do with hitters that can't hit, and pitchers that can't pitch. Managers don't build the team. They only manager the players they are given.
