NOTHING elena does in the 4th season is congruous with or makes ANY sense in light of what she has believed/said in previous seasons. when you write a tv show in a way where your characters do a complete 180 and change for the worse and everything they used to stand for gets thrown out the window, it’s a sign of terrible writing

I think I'm crying... The thing that hurts the most was when Elena said "when he looks at me, all he sees is a broken toy". He put a smile on her face when everything was down, when every hope was lost, when everyone left. That man loved her no matther what she did in her life...and he still does. Delena will never be the same, no matther how much you all shipp it, no matther what Damon or Elena do they will never be able to reach all those gorgeous moments that Stelena has, all those memories that make me glad that this show exists. Julia . It must be emotionally draining for Stefan to be with someone with less emotional intelligence than he has. Stefan walked his talk and Elena has been so wishy washy. Stefan has always been patient and explained his thought process and strategies to Elena. He loves his brother but has to protect himself and his loved ones by defining his limits and boundaries regularly because Damon acts out without thinking things through first. People get hurt all the time. I wonder what would have happened if Stefan just took off with Elena and left Damon to die of the werewolf bite and if Klaus would have spared Damon or not?

She wasn't wrong... After she changed into a vampire... she changed but it was because those parts of her, her darkest parts were magnified and he couldn't accept her like that. But Damon could. He accepted her whether she was human or a vampire. And that's how love should be.

He taught her the roles of being a vampire and tried to make her transition as smooth as possible. DAMON couldn't accept that Elena may get a handle on being vampire through Stefan. He told Stefan and Elena she needed to drink "straight from the vein" blood bags were a waste of time and she'd be "miserable." Stefan taught about her new senses, gave her new experiences and did the best he could to answer her questions. But even then Elena didn't like being a vampire, she LITERALLY said. Elena was never 'dark' as a vampire. Damon influenced her into being the way he was. He didn't unleash shit all of Elena's personality he just continued to remake her the way he wanted because he could. Bonnie even says to him that the predatory, dirty sex Elena isn't "her" which Damon replies "she is now." Making Damon aware that he's happy with her transformation that even to the point her own bffs don't recognize her anymore. So no, the least happiest person with Elena being a normal, healthy vampire was Damon.

Actually... some of that may be true but even Stefan agrees that certain things were magnified. Regardless of what you or anyone might think... Elena already had darkness. You don't lose that many people. Damon had no idea about the sire bond. He stated his opinion and the sire bond took affect. She loves Damon more than she's loved anyone else. Yes, I may be a hands down Delena shipper but for good reason. I'm not going to spend hours to type up a response as long as yours. Sorry I got a life.

the reason that “broken toy” line makes me so angry is because elena TOLD stefan she didn’t want to be a vampire, she said she’d rather die, that she hated it, and stefan was doing everything he could to help her and fix it, because SHE DIDN’T WANT IT !!! everything he ever did was for her. she didn’t deserve him.

exactly, this is why I am team steroline, caroline sees and apprectiates what a good guy Stefan elena doesn't.:)

I truly love this video. Rebecca gets to the bottom of what ended Stefan and Elena's relationship. I just wish Stefan just kept on walking. Elena is such a different person from when she loved him. Damon doesn't deserve a second thought. As much as I love Stelena, I don't know how they could recapture what they had after all that's happened, but I really don't want Damon to be her endgame. Most of all, I wish Stefan stopped being their cheerleader and embrace his hurt feelings and move on, preferably with someone like Rebecca.

Besides my rant this is possibly my favorite Stelena video because it shows truth in basically how the writers ruined the beauty of Stefan and Elena's relationship so easily. I do wish they could be endgame and I have hope but Elena does not deserve Stefan unless she changes in the new season.

This is the most painful and saddest video I have ever seen of them. I have to thank you for that video at first because it totally changed the way I was thinking about Elena and Stefan. At the beginning I was a huge Stelena fan and I was upset when Elena left Stefan for Damon. I really hated them and never shippped them. But after season 5 it was like'oh, okay they are kind of cute' and I started to accept their love. But I totally forgot about Stefan and when he was with Elena . gosh this broke my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Stefan deserved so much better. The erasing of his memories of Elena in this was honesly amazing.

I'm crying so much because i'm so frustrated with them. I don't know if i want Elena to go to hell or if i want them back together! My problem with Delena; Delena was predictable, they followed Katharine's feelings but with Elena having morals she did not see them both at the same time. The sire bond was just that, a sire bond. It should have stayed that way and been like coming back from your humanity, thinking you have free will to do what you want, but with out your emotions, you do things that you would not normally do. It hurts my heart that Nina left, and I agree with someone who commented on here that maybe if they brought back Stefan and Elena, Nina would come back. The show is always been my favorite and will always be my favorite. And then the producers and writers still danced around Stelena with her getting jealous about him being with other women, and when he lost all of his memories and they almost kissed, or where they had the soul mates episode with the travelers. Damon does not deserve Stefan or Elena, sure he is a good character with great character development, but he continues to hurt both of them, even up until recent. I think the only reason he keeps saving Bonnie is because he does not want to be the one to tell Elena (if she ever comes back) that Bonnie died because of him.

I didn't care for Damon after what he did to Caroline in S1. I kept waiting for them to address it properly but it never happened. I don't understand how his character was constantly excused for his actions when there were other characters that were more interesting but were never given a shot at redemption like Katherine and Kai.

This was incredibly sad. My Stelena feels just took a brutal beating.

But instead Stefan stays and supports Delena. The brother who stole his girlfriend and the love of his life becoming someone different and falling for his brother. Matter of fact Stefan should forget Damon as well. Stefan has chosen Damon over Elena. The fact how Stefan saves Damon's life in return for his free will in season 3 is proof of that. and Damon while knowing that his brother did that for him ........he goes for Elena. :( Oh TVD what shit show you have become. and Damon didn't even say good bye to his brother when he died in S5 finale all he said goodbye to was Elena. My thoughts exactly, the writers salvage so much of what they think needs changing. I don't understand why they believe that some relationships (Stefan and Damon) should be more grounded and the fact that in the last episode it was just Damon and Elena saddened me so much because if anyone deserved the goodbye it was Stefan. TVD has become a show that revolves around Damon and Elena and I'm not hating but they could at least make the relationship likeable. I personally don't think that the relationship does much good for the show except for the Delena lovers who are sometimes too blind to notice everything outside of their relationship.

Great video ! Here in 2021, the writers said if they had more time, they would've put Stefan and Elena back together at the end. Honestly though, I really wish Nina could've stayed and then just maybe we could've seen a Stefan/Katherine ending. We know she really loved him, and deep down, his feelings for her were more then he let out. The writers could've had a fun time with that, instead of the way the show ended.

I loved Stelena I gave up on the series when Delena happened. Elena chose the guy that killed her brother, abused her best friend and was the brother of her boyfriend. Damon and Elena are both horrible people small acts of kindness doesn't change that.

I think that Stefan; deserve a better person because; after all what he did for Elena and Damon, what he got in return was evil!

Stefan was so happy with her. He was in love, people say all humans gave up on joy a long time ago and that it is the one thing better than happiness. But when they first kissed Stefan found joy for the first time in a million years, and Elena decided to just take that away In a second. She took away his love, his happiness, his joy and his life and in return all Stefan got was depression and sad loneliness. And to toy around with his heart like that, she says she will love him forever then goes and sleeps with Damon, Stefan deserves better. Rebekah, coralline, Bonnie, Katherine or any other girl. All I know is that they say when she was human she loved Steven more then Damon but when she became vampire her feelings for Damon were amplified but why weren’t her feelings for Stefan also amplified like they do say that ALL her emotions are amplified not just one I say that they should have gotten together because Elena crushed stefans heart and also Delena is the reason they won’t make more or the show because Damon and Elena started dating then Ian and Nina (actors of Damon and Elena) Started dating and got married then they broke up and thought it was to awkward so there is no season nine. It’s all Elenas fault That Stefans heart is broken and the show ended so I say Elena is stuck up bitch who needs to get her head out of her ass and burn in hell.

I guess you'll believe what you want to believe, but... it will never cease to amaze me how that much love, joy and passion can be overlooked by anyone, or that the whole "everything is my fault" "no it's my fault" "oh I feel so guilty" "I feel more guilty" "oh our lives are so hard" "I know, lets talk about it ENDLESSLY" thing Stefan and Elena has going on can make anyone say "now THAT is my idea of true love!!!", lol. But to each their own I suppose.
