    Dan totally nailed it with Common Sense #320 Steering Into the Iceberg! The most ridiculous thing I here after this all is happening (yes happening still) its that certain people are saying "nobody saw this coming" I've been seeing it coming clearly for 5 years.

    5 years? I am 43 years old and my grandfather was prepping me for the days when I could not go to the grocery store anymore and there may not be such a thing as electricity. He was sure I would see those days in my lifetime based on what he was seeing 40 years ago. Not only that but my entire family has been involved with the government, Department of Defense, and all branches of military. Without my uncle who just passed away there would have never been a patriot missile to fire at skud missiles in the Gulf War. Without my grandfather operating the machine shops my uncle eventually worked in the first space shuttle never would have flown. It was the generals that my mother worked for who talked me out of joining the Navy and eventually the Navy Seals because they respected the work she did and her as a person and told her not to let me join the military. She was the person in charge of all army base relocation and closings throughout the 90s across the country. Think about that for a minute. Generals telling my mother not to let me join the military because it's not what it used to be. My friends this has been coming for decades to those of us paying attention. If you're not growing your own food, able to hunt and fish, understand local and natural remedies, you are ill-prepared. And if you're not saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, you're getting ready to see the worst times in the history of the world.

    Agree, but I was disappointed with how he answers here. Maybe I expect too much out of the wise Carlin but I wanted him to tell me where the world is headed based on history. His answer was basically "I don't know where we are headed because technological innovation is so rapid now (he gave the example of his two children to drive this home)." Maybe that's a legit answer--no one knows where we are headed. We live in unprecedented times.

    He is not a genius. He simply educated himself. This is what happens when Humanity becomes so fucking dumb. They look at someone who happens to have a little bit of information about history and think he's a genius among men. This should show the level of depravity, ignorance, and idiocy that the human race has fallen too. Instead of being a reflection of how brilliant this man supposedly must be.

    I think love is a state of mind, and I also think love can see us through. What is the main feeling we want to feel? How can we want the same things? Where is the love that we want? Are we going to change what we want? I also think that we are the most beautiful things that could be, or are we just stardust? Can we want the same things that love could bring? It’s a difference of feeling, but not too far for us not to feel love, and that could be enough. Are you tired of reading this comment? Well me too, and this is how I feel listening to Lex talk.

    After a year and a half, it’s sad to see what’s unfolded since this podcast. From Jan 6, to the vaccine fiasco, to war in Ukraine, to the raid on Mar a Lago. I’m worried that we are too far gone, and the fact that this episode only has 56k views is terrifying. We need more people like Lex and Dan to break the ice and move us past this. Not Trump, not Biden, not any politician, but a concerted effort from the silent majority to bring us together and realize that the atrocities that can occur in a power vacuum like we have today can absolutely bring us down. The future is in our hands…

    In my opinion he isn't necessarily trying to unite with just that concept, I think his true concept is looking at the fact that no one wants bad things to happen to there country, to them selves obviously and this is the concept that many can agree with but its very vague as to whats good for everyone.... The united health and intellectual plan to achieve peace for all is what power seeks for its people or thats what we would want power to achieve. You see? no country is moving towards depression death and suffering on purpose, so there is a peculiar path that every country is following, if they realize it or not they try to accomplish there goal in any means possible and this creates delusional leaders delusional people and so on. The path we seek to take is in front of us but we can't see it because we do not agree with how we shall carve that path, humans don't know what they want and may never know but if we had compassion in mind with every thought and action we could come to a logical conclusion on what we want (maybe you don't understand what im putting forth so feel free to ask me to elaborate) and the sacrifices that will have to be made to get there and that would require us to love and forgive so we can understand. We have walked so far away from each others ideas and repelled each other, divided the entire world that unfortunately this probably won't happen and humanity will forever be its own bottle neck because we couldn't simplify what we truly want and that fear concurs and floods our minds 💔

  • @Prod.Ashtro
    @Prod.Ashtro3 жыл бұрын

    We are delusional about what we want as a civilization and so this is why we have divide goals within the great powers of the world. What are we moving towards? In all categories we seem to seek peace and happiness through things we create and make up, for example what does science do for us? It creates jobs, it helps heal people, it creates content we can enjoy but where does it end? What do we truly want to achieve from it? Do you really want ultimate power over the universe what would you do if you figured out all of physics? What good would it do to know everything and control everything? You see its delusional to think we know what will be good for us in the future because anything thats good can also be interpreted as bad. So our very vague goal that every country is truly competing to walk past is fear of harm itself, fear of death fear of fear itself until we figure out what we truly want and what we truly are we will forever spin the wheel of good and evil gaining concepts/ideas that we have seen play out in history since the beginning of humanity. This is my thoughts on civilization and its leaders ideas on how things should be done and I welcome criticism or anything else.

    Lex was talking about how much power companies can have. Lex and Dan had this conversation before Twitter banned Trump forever. You just mentioned Unity 2020 being taken down. Why did KZread take THAT down? Eric Weinstein is so level headed! MANY conservative voices are being silenced (not that Trump is all that conservative in reality). God knows, Eric Weinstein is FAR from conservative. On a different vein, to hear what is coming out of the mouths of some reporters on CNN is very disturbing. This whole lash against anyone who voted for Trump is very frightening. It certainly feels like book burning and silencing of free speech coming from the “left”. It feels like tyranny coming from the “left”. I feel that the power that Twitter is wielding is even scarier than a second Trump presidency would have been. Dan talked about his great fear of Trump in his podcast entitled “Steering into the Iceberg”. Is it possible that even a mind as intelligent as Dan’s could even be affected by “Trump Derangement Syndrome”? I guess it’s mostly water under the bridge at this point. Well, except for the silencing of voices on social media........that still scares me. Oh, and Biden scares me a bit too. I think I’ll go stick my head in the sand.

    Sorry but if we all agree that civil war is bad. Then any pragmatic ruling system knows this too (from historical examples) and the best way to avoid civil unrest, which can lead to civil war is to eliminate the ideological leaders of the disruptive idea. So it's almost inevitable, especially because it acts as a deterrent to others thinking of being disruptive. This in itself reduces the risk of too many destructive civil wars, so it could be viewed as having positive benefit. Using this logic you can see why Jesus/Gandhi/MLK got killed. Only later can we detect the positive legacy of these 3 examples. History must be littered with other eliminated disruptive examples who left no legacy and are thus unknown to us.
