Though it's been 30 years since I lived in the Eastern Sierra, and skied challenging descents in the backcountry, the memories are still vivid.Oh what a thrill.

Wow incredible footage in BC. When I was a kid we went on a family ski trip to Banff. Holy hell cold is what it was. The first night we got in , after dinner they were offering sleigh rides. I swear it was 40 below! The best skiing ever, in fact we went to this resort called Sunshine and in the middle of a white out me and my brother took our mom up this black diamond run! Oops sorry mom.

Modern athleticism at its best. Next time-line wear anvils on your feet and use the same sound track down a quarter pitch and backwards. I was on the edge of my seat, my heart was racing, truly elevating. Steep something, but not skiing.

While I do admire the courage to ski this line, the best skiing in this video was undoubtedly the 5 seconds where Lusti skis down to the sleds with all the camp gear on her shoulders. Before, it looked more like suffering rather than skiing to me.

30degrees, Wide open, acres of snow field and they waste countless hours ascending and hop turning and side slipping a couloir…. Some people just dont know how to choose good lines

Lusti spends her winters guiding clients on 30 degree open powder fields, she can ski whatever the fuck she wants on her own time.

You GuYs are so laughable and predictable. There isn’t a single linked turn in there till she’s out of the slot. It’s a garbage line. She picked a bad slot, not skiable by her anyway. It’s like the idiot who tried the first Everest ski descent. Just cus it’s hard doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.

@@johnnycigar3240 amen brother. While some might think that's somewhat easy, holy shit was that narrow and steep. And as they got lower you could hear more ice. I'm good here on my couch!
