    This channel is a true gem. These explanations are so intuitive and the camera angles with the "John Madden" breakdown makes this stuff click so well!

    my new favorite channel. keep doing these tutorials. very easy to digest. just a little request, please dial down the music or better remove it completely, this way it will be easier to focus on your voice. with this kind of content, dont worry about retention rate, we will be consuming it all as its a very valuable educational content for us riders 🤙

    “How to jump” This has been done so many times before, but I have to say I really like your breakdown and tuition style, one of the very best how to videos, well done 👊🏻👊🏻

    Just watched your 3 vids on jumping, they were / are great in braking down the different aspects required to jump improvement. Watched many jump vids in the past but yours were the most informative and easiest to understand. . I have previously paid for a 1on 1 instruction lesson on jumping but never came away with this information implanted in memory before. Your tuition style is very good and how you have broken it down makes it (for me) much easier to understand where I am going wrong in getting extra height on take off. Thanks your my new fave Chanel

    This is a great analysis of proper technique. It doesn’t really teach you how to do it, but I think you've covered that elsewhere. The Loam Ranger's "stand up to the jump" is just a cue, and clearly it's helped a lot of people, but it's not enough on its own.

    body preload, suspension preload, perpendicular explosion. Got it. Dang you got so much air. on a side note. That looks like Kanuga. Hendersonville is a beautiful town.

    Really cool and complete tutorials! Cheers! Like the musical actually. Not disttacting, the oppositie actually. Would love to see the complete jump, before the breakdown, and once more after. Normal speed and slow. But like said; allready golden! 🤘🏼🤣

    Great breakdown, thank you! What do you like/recommend for feet placement on the pedals for jumping (and riding) - more in the arch, more in the ball of the foot, somewhere in between?

    Pleasure to watch and very useful content, need more practice now. Question, isn't it what needs to be done on the lip basically the same what we do at roller to get speed? With the difference of direction, istead of going forward we should go up ?

    Great content! I find on tighter jumps, like 3m tall, 4.5m radius on my big bikes (dual suspension) I bottom out hard through the transition which can feel really weird and leads me to inconsistent jumping results. I should video myself and see whats happening, possibly not loading all the way to the lip! the membership programs are a great idea to help out folks! cheers

    I'm sorry but you HAVE to load throughout the transition to the lip. If you load half way through the transition and not up to the lip, you will get bucked. If you feel that your suspension is bottoming out on you, check your sag. and if your sag is set correctly then, add tokens to your suspension.

    I like "accept the lip". Good one! Great vid but please back up the cam (or zoom out) next time. You're out of the frame at the best part when you're flying to the moon haha.

    so pretty much upper body perpendicular to the gravity and legs perpendicular (and pushing) towards face of the lip. Push harder with legs and increase the angle, while yanking on the bard more to boost the jump ?

    Hi. Very useful information. Thank you. One question, how would you approach steep short lip that requires quite high speeds? Thank you.

  • @Theshredacademy

    @Theshredacademy

    @@jernejrabzelj1200 sounds like maybe not the best jump or it’s a Bmx jump your using a full squish on. The answer is just how fast you transition through these body positions, the transition on short steep jumps is just much tighter so things happen a lot faster

    This style of jumping requires mastering the bunny hop first. "Standing up" is not bad advice for casual jumpers.

    @@Theshredacademy The thing is, when a beginning jumper approaches a lip fear will cause them to squat down and move back. And that can cause them to get bucked. So the stand up thing can really help in that regard. It's not as advanced and technical as what you show of course. Having taken a lot of in person coaching, I can tell you that having more than one coaching cue, or movement change in your head at one time is really hard. Good videos though. Shred on!
