This is uncomfortably realistic. It is also realistically uncomfortable.

He keeps forgetting that he's supposed to keep up the lie that he was making steamed hams, but Chalmers helpfully waits while Skinner rifles through various non-relevant explanations until he gets to the 'right' one.

4:51 - 5:02 The look of agony on Chalmers’ face while he waits for Skinner’s response! 🤣🤣 He REALLY wanted to see Aurora Borealis.

I love how the context of even the intact lines is completely changed. Like after 2:20-2:37 when Chalmers asks "you call hambugers steamed hams?" It's less in disbelief and more for confused clarification at Skinners bumbling nonsense. Little something I appreciate. Lot's of thought put into this one.

I think the original and this version both accentuate that Chalmers ultimately doesn't care what Skinner says; this videotaped version heightens it by having Chalmie respond rather indifferently to utter nonsense.

This is a tragic depiction of Alzheimer’s and the degenerative effect it has on the human mind. The moment of realisation from Chalmers at 4:59 that his friend is deeply unwell was a heartbreaking moment.

3:50 absolutely killed me when he gets up and sits straight back down 😂

Hearing Skinner's muffled bellowing and the repeated roast revelation at 3:56 and 4:11 had me crying.

I relate so much to skinner checking the door before doing something dumb only for someone to barge through as soon as he gets himself in a hard to explain position.

This video is so underrated, it deserves to have more attention honestly. Had some great laughs.

This feels like when you're playing a game and have to try out all the dialogue options to figure out which ones advance the plot.

We need a Memento-style remake of this to really understand Seymour's perspective

My grandfather has end stage dementia, and this is too relatable.

@Mitchell Williamson Yes, people, I'm aware he had memory problems. The point is, he walked into a burning room and only seems to have noticed a small (and by that point insignificant) part of what was happening. It's not that he forgot that he already knew his roast burnt, it's that he's only looking at the roast while the rest of the kitchen is in flames. His memory problems serve that joke, not the other way round. Work with me, people.

I like how after he leaves through the window, he doesn't run straight away because of either his short term memory loss and/or indecisiveness.

This actually portrays Skinner the exact way intended, and it's absolutely lovely. He really does seem like someone with short term memory loss, like in behaviour and what in particular is forgotten.

The absolute icing on the cake would’ve been Skinner being indecisive about running back in the house at the end.

I've watched so many steamed hams edits that I can tell this is a higher pitch than the original. ....I should get a life

Now knowing this scene word for word, Skinner's fish brain is painful to watch
