    Thanks. From what we’ve learned, you’re only going to get a few shots as the train is both fast and isolated from the roads. Use the maps and learn the train schedule.

    And the diesels were doing what diesels do best, providing the electricity for the cars and the kitchens, and being there in case of an emergency with the steam engine.

    Why are you doing this? Not making steam trains 6 and just simply titleing them steam trains? Not angry.

  • @DynamoProductions-trains

    @DynamoProductions-trains

    We make the steam trains montages because they do better with views. Specific locomotives are not things you can advertise on their own, but a bunch of steam engines in one video is.

    Is the GCRY an easy chase?

  • @DynamoProductions-trains

    @DynamoProductions-trains

    5 жыл бұрын

    Its not an easy chase, but it’s possible to get about six to eight shots on a regular trip. It’s 66 miles each way, with speeds up to 40mph and track in the middle of the desert with only dirt road access. Generally the best way to get a good video of steam at the Grand Canyon is to film multiple trips, which is what our friend in Arizona is doing.

    Is there a problem with the QJs. I feel they are wheelslipping too much. Maybe it’s the diesels pushing too hard. But nice video anyways

  • @DynamoProductions-trains

    @DynamoProductions-trains

    Not sure what you mean, the diesels behind 6988 in this video are just for head end power. There shouldn’t be any slipping happening.

    That’s just an optical illusion. The drivers are spinning at a higher rpm because they’re smaller than most, which gives the optical illusion that they’re slipping.
