Bachpan main saffar kiya hy reguler Steam Train service per. Both yaad atti hain. Jan bhi yahan London main steam trains daykhta hun ankhon sy ansu nikal atay hain aur bachpan k early 90s aur 80s k zamany main Pakistan pohanch jatta hun. Thanks for bringing this train back here fellow.

The kind of black smoke it's releasing.... i am very happy that atleast they are not being operated now a days... It's mostly soot which falls back to ground. Diesel has more invisible pollutants. But no doubt both are polluting to environment when used in large scale and electrification is the best option

this is some real documentry level of filming... missed your narrating voice, though.... as we can all see--- the train was being operated on some scenic routes to give best shots.. and was being carried to the points by the diesel engines....meticulous planning by PR... and good photo ops for firangi rail lovers...;-)

Yeah it was my beginning Didn't shoot this as vlogger Faranngi paid to PR for this calculated steam operation and they were using and composing it by every angle, It was very difficult for me to do live commentary or narration over there because before taking every shot a manger of this operation loudly announce krta tha k ab sab khamosh rahain gay, kisi ka mobile bhi nhi bajna chahiy, That's why I also kept quite there is se pehlay k woh log mujhay utha k bahir nikalain I could have option to do voice over in it but you know I just like live audio Room mai beth kr recorded audio is environment mai sync na karti Thanks

Asalamoalekum, how're you sir. A long long ago i travelled from lahore to quetta by quetta passenger train pulled by steam locomotives. Starting from at 8pm. And reaching quetta a day after next day at about 8am,consuming about 36 hours.there were two charming points for us . 1,running backward at sibi junction for further journey . 2,at the rear end of mach railway station 2 steam locos were waiting for qta.passanger. first the trsin passes through leaving station behind ,then it comes back in reverse to set itself on plate form. 3,departure from mach qta. at full throttle to gain max. speed before leaving the plate form. And after a few later it creeps slowly while all the 3 steam locos are on full throttle.

Wa alekum assalam sir You're remembering and reminding us the glory of Pakistan Railways, those old golden days couldn't be removed from our mind and hearts, The charming points you discussed are part of every railfan My first travel to Quetta was not on steam locomotive but it was ARPW20 back in 1988 on Chiltan Express from Lahore, and I also witnessed the huge bolan pass and the 1 steam engine as a helper at Mach station. Thanks, because it was captured in controlled environment with all fellow photographers/videographers, they were arrived from multiple international locations and they booked 3 days steam train activities by Pakistan Railways. So it wasn't only me there and that's why live commentary wasn't possible.

That was special train, not regular,

This is not original Steam Engine. The original steam engine were coal fired engines while this one is oil fired engine. That's why it is emmiting very black smoke.

If kindly review about old alco's like Alp 14 Alpw16 Alpw18 and then Refurbished ARPW 20 if available some old clips please. At that time (1951-1959) .i daily see once an alco loco ALP14 on the turntable of quetta loco shed, Then turntable was just in front our residence at saryab chauk.

Sir in my area rwp/isb above mentioned locomotives aren't available,most of them was sighted at Lahore shed, I have heard most of the old locomotive,s were scraped (at my last visit to Mughalpura workshop) but I will keep my eyes on any vintage stuff Thanks

No doubt these are some landmark locomotives I just don’t like that fact they are contributing significant amount of pollution into the atmosphere. Absolutely horrendous

Furnace oil is very costly .. why no coal ...that is the reason Pakistan is bankrupt. One rupee work they spend ten rupee instead for same work.
