I feel like Spine/David doesn't get enough credit so here is a Spine/David appreciation comment. He is so bloomin' talented (like how does one write songs and lyrics and play a bunch of instruments and preform and be a robot for hours for so many years) (Me & My Baby is one of my tippy top songs up there with Hot on the Trail) and hilarious too and like dang ugh I really really love David and The Spine

I love how ingrained the robotic movements are for them. Human durning the talky bits, then once the songs start they immediately fall into the movements. It's so natural. Love it.

The level of serotonin Bunny singing Honeybee brought me honestly nearly made me cry. *TW, this is my story and I don't wish to trigger, hurt or offend anyone, this band has been here so long for me and has been there as my comfort for so long* When Honeybee came out, I was 10 (yes, yes I've been here this long) and only two years later, I nearly killed myself. I couldn't explain to myself why, but I ultimately couldn't do it (for which I'm so glad I didn't) for months afterward, SPG was one of my only consistent bands, and honeybee the biggest comfort to me. It constantly rang on in my head, I constantly listened to it, I constantly sung it (off-tune, but that's not the point) and it helped me so much in getting back to daily life. One of my first tattoos is planned to be a honeycomb made of gears, it's so simple but it's hard to explain how much it means. throughout all the band changes and growth, I have been here and I'm so glad to continue seeing you all do what you have always done. I'm so excited to see where you guys go with this. Thank you for being here for me and others for so long. I couldn't imagine being without. *Side note, I've never noted that David's voice when he speaks more casually sounds so much like plankton and that's not a diss I just burst out laughing randomly during this video*

Isabella is one of the biggest influences for me, she’s cute and has a killer voice. She has worked so hard to be exactly who she wants to be no matter how harsh the Internet can be. The songs honeybee and malfunction have helped me through a lot no matter how cheesy it sounds. I don’t think I would be here today if it weren’t for these wacky dudes. Stay safe everyone

I know y’all hate playing honey bee but every time y’all play it, it makes me imagine myself on the titanic listening to the band playing as I slowly sink to my beautiful death... also looking forward to the new stuff. SPG!!!

Clownman I believe it’s because it’s their most popular song, therefore they play it a lot,,, possibly burnout?

@@ryrysims ironically that exactly thing (same song/nickname) made it so I couldn’t listen to this band for… god, 9ish years? Just brought back too many bad memories. I’ve just been able to start back listening to them again. My advice is to never attach something you love (book, band, movie, tv show, place) to a relationship, tbh. I know that sounds bad, but it’s just like how you have to keep your hobbies and stuff for yourself so you don’t risk the whole "losing your personality" thing.

Hey thanks for doing this! Awesome idea! It’s not about the makeup. It’s about your sound and your spirit. Feels like we’re hanging out in the same living room jamming. Love it!
